We should break the neck of poverty."<br>Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.<br>Romans 8:32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?<br><br><b>1. Increase begins with Honor.<br></b><br>Financial blessing in Scripture is connected first to relationship with and reverence to God, who is the source of blessing. The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it. (Proverbs 10:22)<br><br><br><b>2. Firstfruits reflect Trust.<br></b><br>Firstfruits means giving God the first and the best, not the leftovers. It is a tangible act of faith and gratitude, demonstrating that you trust God to provide for your future needs.<br>Exodus 23:19 - Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God.<br>Matthew 6:21 - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.<br>2 Corinthians 8:5 - And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us.<br>God first looks at our heart, and then our hands. Just like the farmer, when you give God your "firsts", you set a foundation that consecrates and blesses the rest of your harvest.<br><br><br><b>3. Increase flows through wisdom and stewardship.<br></b><br>God blesses honor, but the Scripture also teaches management. Wealth mishandled can be wealth diminished.<br>Proverbs 21:5 - The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.<br>Luke 16:11- So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?<br>Ecclesiastes 11:2 - Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.<br>Budgeting your money is highly encouraged. Avoid wastage of money and resources.<br>John 6:12 When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” &nbsp;<br><br><br><b>4. Overflow has Purpose.<br></b><br>Overflow in Scripture is not only for comfort, it is for impact.<br>2 Corinthians 9:8 - And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.<br>Luke 6:38 - Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”<br>Declaration: I move forward without fear; God’s presence guarantees success and progress today.<br><br>Always remember - wherever you go, God will be with you! This is the Immanuel presence of God.<br><br>There are 4 major pointers in this message:<br><br>Courage is often needed at the edge of promise.<br>Joshua received this word when he was standing at the threshold of the promised land. Moses had led the crowd up to that point, and from there like a baton being passed, it was now handed over to the next generation. The curtain has fallen on the man of God, Moses, and next Joshua who received blessings from Moses’ hand himself, has taken on the mantle of leading the crowd to the Promised Land.<br>Courage is not only for crises. It is often required when entering new seasons.<br>Deuteronomy 31:7 says Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance.<br><br>Psalm 27:14 says Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.<br><br>Isaiah 43:19 says See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?<br>I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.<br><br>God is the Ancient of Days but He prefers to do new things!<br>New territory can feel intimidating. God never calls you for work without going ahead of you.<br>Movement breaks paralysis. Courage lies in taking the first step most of the time. Once you take that first step forward, you will find the courage.<br><br>Courage is not the absence of fear.<br>There are two types of fear; negative fear and positive fear. Negative fears are phobias, and positive fear is when you see a fire and you don’t jump into it because you know you will be in harm. Positive fear is something that is good for you, and benefits you. The fear of God is a type of positive fear, it is not a phobia rather it is the type of fear which brings out reverence, love, obedience etc.<br>God did not tell Joshua to be fearless, He tells him to be courageous because courage decides who gets the final word.<br>Psalms 56:3<br>2 Timothy 1:7<br>Mark 5:36<br>No matter how courageous you are, there will be fear inside everyone! A person without any fear will fall into problems in life. Faith and fear may knock at the same door. Courage chooses which one enters. You will feel pressure but still be able to move on.<br><br>Courage grows from God’s presence.<br>The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. This is what gives us courage. Generally, we find courage when we know that there is someone with us. The source of Joshua’s courage was not personality, it was the presence of God.<br>Exodus 33:14<br>Hebrews 13:5-6<br>Psalms 23:4<br>Confidence increases when companionship is certain. The environment may not change but the company changes everything.<br>Presence produces courage!<br><br>Courage is given to advance not to be stuck.<br>Joshua’s command was connected to movement which means that we need courage to advance and move forward. God gives us courage when we are given something new in our lives, be it an assignment, a project, a ministry, a business, a course etc. Difficult conservations, bold obedience, occupying territory, breaking stagnation, to come out of all of these.<br>Philippians 3:13-14<br>Acts 4:29<br>Micah 2:13<br>Courage is functional and the Holy Spirit will be the one who gives you the courage to move forward. Do not let in fear! Prayer expands vision beyond small limits.<br></b><br>God connects asking with expansion. Prayer lifts perspective from survival to Kingdom purpose. Asking big things of God is encouraged as He is capable of doing exceedingly more than one can ask, think, or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). When you ask big, God answers bigger!<br>Isaiah 54:2 - Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.<br>Habakkuk 2:3 - For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.<br>Do not pray only for maintenance, pray for mission. God often enlarges the heart before enlarging the territory.<br><br><b>3. Prayer releases power where effort ends.<br></b><br>There are doors skill cannot open, there are battles strategies cannot win, there are hearts persuasion cannot change.<br>Acts 4:31 - After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.<br>The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. (James 5:16)<br>‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty. (Zechariah 4:6)<br>Just as huge doors/gates that cannot be opened by human strength (due to the implemented security system) open when the right password is entered, Jesus is the password to unlock the doors of heaven.<br>John 14:6 Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’<br><br><b>4. Prayer aligns us with God’s global purpose.<br></b><br>Prayer is bigger than personal needs. Prayer joins God's redemptive agenda to our willingness to partner with Him.<br>Matthew 28:19 - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit<br>Pray for all people (1 Timothy 2:1-4)<br>Revelation 7:9 - there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.<br>True prayer carries the nations in its burden.<br><br><b>Declaration - Through prayer, I can claim territories for God's Kingdom. If you do not value something, you will soon forfeit it. &nbsp;<br><br>Faithfulness matters more than size: It is more important to be faithful in the little matters entrusted to you than in doing much without bearing fruit.<br><br>Matthew 25: 21 - Well done, good and faithful servant.<br>Proverbs 28: 20 - A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished. &nbsp;<br><br>Small assignments are often a preface to larger ones. &nbsp;They are a preparation arena for greater things in the future. &nbsp;<br><br>Stewardship requires wisdom and order: A person who sets out to manage something requires wisdom to handle the matter and complete it in an orderly fashion. &nbsp;A faithful steward would never be inactive or passive. &nbsp;Planning, discipline, wise management are part and parcel of being a good steward. &nbsp;<br><br>Proverbs 21: 5 - The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. &nbsp;<br>Ephesians 5: 15 and 16 - Make good use of every opportunity.<br>Colossians 3: 23 - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.<br><br>Good intentions without proper management create only waste. &nbsp;Consider a huge water tank with the capacity to provide running water to a whole locality. &nbsp;When pipes are connected to it, all the water can be utilised for the region. &nbsp;But if it is stored up for a long period without outflow, the water stagnates and bacteria grow in the tank cancelling the use of the water. You must steer your life as per the direction of your vision. It is not merely important to admire it, but you must persevere. In Acts 26:19 Paul says, “…I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven.”<br><br>So many people get heavenly visions but they don't often follow through. Many times people tell me that I saw a vision back in the day, however they have no proof to show that they have lived their life as per this vision. Paul reiterates that he followed through on the vision heaven entrusted with him. Many celebrate revelation, but do not respond to it. Vision is not given for applause, it is given for action.<br><br>Many consider Jesus to be the founder of Christianity, he is known as a teacher and a prophet among many. Now when someone tells you that Jesus is in fact a person, that he came down from heaven, bore ours sins and shame and forgave all our sins, then you must believe it and declare that Jesus is your Saviour and you will live out the rest of your years for him and to glorify his name. The moment you get the revelation, you must act on it.<br><br>Habakkuk 2:2 says, ‘ Then the Lord replied: 'Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.’<br><br>As soon as you get the vision you must act on it, you should run with it.<br><br>James 1:22 says, ‘Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.’<br><br>When you listen to the Word of God, it is important that you understand it and imbibe it, otherwise it becomes a wasted vision.<br><br>Luke 11:28 says, ‘ He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”<br><br>There is widespread evangelism taking place all across the globe, to an extent to which you cannot escape the Word of God. But it’s surely not enough to just listen to the Word of God. You must try to understand it and put it into practice. Vision ignored becomes a burden. If you have a vision from the Lord and you ignore that vision and remain reluctant to act on it, then the vision itself becomes a burden. You will have a feeling of guilt and a nagging sensation at the back of your mind always making you feel torn between your vision and your actions. To spread the Word of God is a mission entrusted to each of us. And as stewards of God’s faithfulness we should spread the good Word, at least by talking about God to those who are near and dear to us.<br><br>Vision obeyed becomes a pathway. For instance, if a person merely looks at a google map and admires the way the direction is displayed without actually moving towards that direction then they are not going to reach their destination. In the same way, if you merely admire the vision that God gives you without acting on it, then you are missing the direction in which God wants to mold your life. Heavenly vision must become earthly movement.<br><br>Obedience Often Begins With Disruption<br><br>When you get a vision or a direction from God and you set about towards that direction, often it brings disruption into your life. Paul’s heavenly vision interrupted his former path. Paul’s identity, his routines, his reputation, even his name changed from Saul to Paul. Saul lived in a very comfortable environment, until God revealed himself to Saul. Once Saul became Paul, his path was guided by the Lord and the people who once looked at him with reverence, imprisoned him and harmed him in every way. When Godly vision comes into your life, know that it often brings disruption, but that is temporary and should not steer you away from the path laid out for you.<br><br>Acts 9:6 says, ‘“Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”’<br><br>When Saul was on his way to Damascus, he in fact held with him the first anti-conversion religious bill. And this when God chose to reveal himself to Saul. When Godly vision entered his life, the route changed, the path changed, the entire course of his life changed.<br><br>Genesis 12:1 says, ‘The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.’<br><br>Matthew 4:19 says, ‘“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”’<br><br>In all these verses, you see the turning point when God spoke to them and their lives took a completely different route. When you get Godly vision, you will move away from the old and steer yourself to the new. When God comes into your life with disruption, do not be afraid, do not turn away, it just might just be your doorway to his assignment for you. If God shows you a doorway, do not be afraid of the society or people around you, focus on your vision from God. Trust the Lord, he will take care of everything.<br><br>Obedience to Vision Demands Persistence<br><br>Paul obeyed not for a day, but for a lifetime. Vision is proven through consistency and not excitement.<br><br>Galatians 6:9 says, ‘Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.’<br><br>Hebrews 10:36 says, ‘You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.’<br><br>Philippians 3:14 says, ‘I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.’<br><br>You might get a Godly vision in a moment’s time, but how many of us actually carry it through different seasons of our lives? This is a question that we must ask ourselves. So many of us hear the Word on a daily basis, but how many of us have stood the test of time in our faith? It is our commitment to our vision that upholds our faith. We must be stewards of our faith in Lord Jesus Christ and we must strongly be committed to the vision placed in our hearts. So stay faithful, even progress feels slow.<br><br>Obedience to Vision Produces Kingdom Impact<br><br>If we stay committed to the vision God has entrusted to us, then that produces great kingdom impact. Paul’s obedience reached cities, kings, kingdoms and generations. One obedient life can have far reaching influence. There are many who’ve had godly calling, but a few stick to that commitment and vision. Those who have stayed strong in their commitment will be blessed and through them many others will also be blessed.<br><br>Acts 26:22-23 says. ‘22 But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— 23 that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.”<br><br>Romans 12:18-19 says, ‘18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.’<br><br>2 Timothy 4:7 says, ‘I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.’<br><br>Vision is personal in calling, but public in impact. A single lamp lit in one room can ignite many other lamps without losing its flame. Your obedience can light lives you might never meet.<br><br>My message to you today is, hold on to the vision the Lord has given you. This means we need wisdom for expansion and all the rest will follow because resources without wisdom can be wasted. But wisdom can create and multiply resources.<br>Pro 4.7 tells us that wisdom is supreme. Therefore, get wisdom. Consider an intense group discussion. When a person with wisdom speaks, all others will calm down; giving opportunity to the wise to speak. Solomon was blessed with wisdom.<br>According to Eccl 10.10, wisdom brings success.<br>James 1.5 says, “If any of you lack wisdom, ask God….” Solomon asked God for wisdom; probably he would have prayed – “I am neither mature nor experienced to lead this nation. Please grant me wisdom.” And he got it.<br>Mt. 7.7 – Ask and you shall receive.<br>Many people seek increase first. But God often gives wisdom first. People who have sought increase first ten to lose what they got for lack of wisdom through wrong decisions and wrong investments. Wisdom turns little into much. A skilled builder would create the best even though he has only limited resources. The Swedish company IKEA supplies furniture and accessories which are ergonomic in nature and have high utility value. This accounts for its multiple outlets all over the world even in Hyderabad, India and it’s a success!<br><br><b>2.Wisdom sees beyond the surface<br></b><br>We understand from 1Kings 4.29 that Solomon received insight and broad understanding. Wisdom sees causes, timings, patterns and consequences. It looks deeper than appearances providing foresight and hindsight.<br>Pro 14.8 says, “The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways….”<br>1Sam 16.7 – people look at outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.<br>Col 1. 9 says, “…. ask God to fill you with …... wisdom and understanding.” Those who see clearly oft grow steadily.<br>When a patient consults a doctor, he narrates his symptoms. The doctor however tries to diagnose and treat the root cause of those symptoms. Similarly, wisdom searches out the roots, while we look at the outward results. Just like a doctor looks at the inner cause and not symptoms; we too need to work with wisdom.<br><br><b>3.Wisdom organizes increase<br></b><br>When there is an exponential increase or expansion; wisdom enables one to handle the increase in an organized, meticulous way. The kingdom prospered under Solomon’s reign because wisdom helped him govern structure, manage growth etc. It was a golden era. There was surplus and no inflation. Wisdom knows how to steward what God sends.<br>Mismanagement destroys people. For example, people invest their fortunes in businesses without fore thought and information and then run into loss. &nbsp;While some reinvest after doing much research.<br>Lk 14. 28 says, “…. first sit down and estimate the cost ….” Anytime you pick up a project, first sit down and work out its cost.<br>1Cor 14.40 says, “…. everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.” Paul said these words when the entire fellowship was in disorder. He went on to say that God is not a God of disorder or confusion; He is a God of order and clarity.<br>Prov 21.6 says, “The plans of the diligent lead to profit….” Many lose blessing not through lack of opportunity but lack of management. For example: Good abundant crop, harvested and when brought in, there is not enough infrastructure or storage space in storehouse to accommodate it. Some stored, rest is wasted.<br><br><b>4.Wisdom comes from the Lord<br></b><br>According to 1Kings 4.29, The Lord gave Solomon wisdom. True wisdom is not intelligence; it’s a gift from God that aligns life and truth. Many are clever or shrewd or very intelligent but wisdom comes from the Lord.<br>When God gives wisdom, decisions become fruitful and paths become clearer.<br>A few verses to reflect upon….<br>Pro 2.6 says, “For the Lord gives wisdom.”<br>Daniel 2.21 says, “…… He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.”<br>Ps.111.10 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”<br>Those who seek God sincerely often receive guidance generously. A traveler who has a route map will boldly travel unknown routes simply because he has the map with him.<br>God given wisdom and direction for multiplication. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.<br><br><b>2. Palm tree strength bends, but does not break.<br></b><br>The righteous are compared to a palm tree. Palm trees endure storms, because they are flexible and resilient. It stands tall.<br>Proverbs 24:16 - for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.<br>2 Corinthians 4:8,9 - We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.<br>James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.<br><br><b>3. Cedar strength grows tall and stable<br></b><br>The righteous also grow like a Cedar of Lebanon. Cedars were known for height, durability and value. God’s increase is not shallow growth, but stable growth and substance.<br>Psalm 1:3 - That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.<br>Jeremiah 17:7,8 - But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,<br>whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.<br>Matthew 7:25 - The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.<br>God wants His people to grow upward while remaining grounded - deep level faith, deep level dependence, deep prayer life.<br>&nbsp;<br><b>4. Flourishing comes from being planted in God.<br></b><br>Psalm 92:13 - planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.<br>The house of the Lord in the New Testament means the church/ the fellowship. The devil is described as a roaring lion seeking to devour, and lions hunt by isolating the weakest member of a group. Offense is not merely a passing emotion but a strategic "bait" of the devil designed to isolate believers and disrupt their spiritual walk; causing believers to leave church, skip small groups, or break friendships, cutting themselves off from the spiritual protection, counsel, and encouragement that they receive in the church.<br>John 15:5 - I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.<br>They go from strength to strength (Psalm 84:7)<br>Do not give up meeting together (Hebrews 10:25)<br><br><b>Declaration - Fresh strength flows into me today. I see further than before and dream with heaven's perspective.<br><br>Vision Expansion Begins By Lifting Your Eyes<br><br>The first thing you need to do, in order to experience vision expansion is to see things from a bigger picture standpoint. Lift your eyes above and change your outlook and perspective to see things from a birds eye view. As you climb up the floors in a building, your view changes, it elevates and your vision expands as you go higher up. Before circumstances change, perspective must change. Many people remain limited, not because resources are lacking but vision is limited. When your vision changes, your circumstances also change.<br><br>God often begins enlargement by calling his people to look higher and farther. Your expansion happens only when you look at things from a higher, larger perspective.<br><br>Genesis 13:14-15 says, ‘14 The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. 15 All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever.’<br><br>The Lord is telling you to look at things from an expansive standpoint. When you have an expansive vision, there also comes an elevated growth in your life. In Genesis 13, God asked Abraham to step out of his home and look at things from beyond his eyesight and beyond what is visible. God urged Abraham to look above and not below. God told me ‘When your vision changes, the way you run things will also change’. You should fix your eyes on the Lord. He is the captain of our lives, the winner of every race and every conquest. If you set your eyes on him, you will achieve victory and success in your life. This also means that your speed and the ways in which you succeed will not be the same as others around you. So, don’t look at what is happening beside you, but fix your eyes on the Lord.<br><br>In another instance, God asked Abraham to look at the sky and count the stars. Abraham tried and couldn’t due to the infinite number of stars. Then God gave Abraham a profound promise “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” We can only imagine that something must have exploded in Abraham’s spirit upon hearing this promise, considering the fact that Abraham and Sarah did not even have a child and were well into their old age. Abrahams’ perspective was changed forever from that moment. So first, God promised Abraham, children and then land. With every covenant in the Bible, there is a promise of land. And with God’s promise, there are often challenges, and issues that one faces.<br><br>Colossians 3:2 says, ‘Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.’<br><br>Ephesians 3:20 says, ‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,’<br><br>Expansion starts when one's sight rises above present limitations. When a person stands at the foot of the valley, they see things within their sights. But as they climb up, their view starts expanding, their sight covers farther geographies than before as they stand at an elevated level. Higher vision reveals larger possibilities. Today, the Lord is blessing you with a higher vision, an expanded view.<br><br>Vision Expansion Sees What God Is Gathering<br><br>As your vision expands you will see what God is gathering from afar. Which is why in Isaiah it is said ‘your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the hip.’ Your sons and daughters will come to you from afar and it is only possible to see this vision when you are standing at a higher altitude, not when you are on the ground. A higher altitude allows you to have a wider vision. For those who are not seeing an expansion in their lives and are only experiencing delays, denials and roadblocks, climb up the mountain and try to see things with a wider, expanded vision. You will see that God is preparing you for blessings that are on their way.<br><br>Psalms 147:2 says, ‘The Lord builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel.’<br><br>Romans 8:28 says, ‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose’<br><br>John 11:52 says, ‘and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one.’<br><br>What appears absent may already be on the way. But, it only becomes visible when you look at things from a higher altitude. As you go higher, the altitude increases and as the altitude increases your vision expands. We see the sun only when the light spreads and reaches us, but in reality the sun has risen long before we get a glimpse of it. In the same way, God knows what is to happen in our lives long before we know or understand it. Many things that we pray for are already on the way and we may not be able to see it, but God sees and knows.<br><br>Vision Expansion Requires Looking Around<br><br>Expansion requires awareness about things that happen around. We might just focus on one closed door and miss out on the other open doors and opportunities. Today, God asks us to stop focusing on that one closed door and focus on other opportunities that are around us. God wants his people alert to new fields, relationships and assignments.<br><br>John 4:35 says, ‘ Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.’<br><br>In the verse above, Jesus tells his disciples to open their eyes, which means, their eyes were closed to the opportunities before them.<br><br>Isaiah 43:19 says, ‘See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.’<br><br>Proverbs 29:18 says, ‘Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.’<br><br>If there is no vision then there is no purpose in life and we may fall into the wrong path. For a farmer, if he is not careful and does not look properly he might miss out on seeing the fruits that are ripe. In the same way opportunities are often visible only to those who look around carefully. You might miss out on opportunities if you don’t keep your eyes and vision open.<br><br>Vision Expansion Leads to Joyful Increase<br><br>The promise of gathered sons and daughters in John 11:52 leads to restoration, growth and future joy. God does not expand vision to merely impress us but to prepare us for fruitfulness.<br><br>Isaiah 54:2 says, ‘“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.’<br><br>Psalms 126:5-6 says, ‘5 Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. 6 Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.’<br><br>Jeremiah 29:11 says, ‘For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’<br><br>When God enlarges your sight, he is often preparing to enlarge your life. Today, believe that God is bringing expansion in your life. Don’t ask for just a few. (4) Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.” (5) She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. (6) When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.” But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.<br><br>There is no limit to God pouring out but all He needs is vessels. If you increase your capacity, God is ready to keep pouring into your life!<br><br>Ephesians 3:20 says Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,<br><br>The reason behind why some of us are not blessed or we do not grow, is because we need to increase our capacity so that God can bless us.<br><br>Capacity determines the level of receiving.<br>There are a lot of different types of capacity that we can have; mental, pain-bearing, load-bearing, growth capacity, and many such types.<br>God’s supply is abundant but receiving depends on capacity.<br><br>Matthew 9:29 says Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”;<br>Faith is also a capacity; how much we can believe, how much more we can believe, how much we believe that we will receive. The Bible says that we will receive proportionate to our faith.<br><br>Mark 6:5 says He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.<br>Over here we see limited miracles because of unbelief.<br><br>Luke 6:38 says Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”<br><br>Capacity is expanded through growth and stretching.<br>Capacity does not increase automatically, it grows through stretching.<br><br>Romans 5:3-4 says (3) Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; (4) perseverance, character; and character, hope.<br><br>Everything that we face in life; all the shortcomings, fights, difficulties, etc. are what help increase our capacity.<br><br>Capacity must be prepared before overflow comes.<br>God prepares the vessel before releasing the overflow. We can see this in the life of Joseph, he went through tough patches in life. When the vessel was ready then the overflow came.<br><br>2 Timothy 2:21 says Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.<br><br>Psalms 23:3-4 says (3)he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. (Overflow)<br>Today’s focus word is ‘Overflow’ and the focus verse is from Ps. 23. 5 - 6<br>“My cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life.”<br>Declaration: I end this month in overflow; surely goodness and mercy pursue me continually.<br>Points to ponder include:<br><br>1.Overflow begins with God’s presence.<br><br>In the presence of God, one experiences the filling to an overflowing. My cup overflows, not by human effort but by God’s presence.<br>Ps. 16.11 tells us, ‘In your presence, there is fullness of joy.’<br>In Jn 10.10, Jesus says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” That’s ‘Life in abundance!’<br>Eph 3.19 speaks of “Filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” We are called to be filled with the goodness of God.<br>An illustration would be a reservoir. It doesn’t fill on its own. Water flows into it. In the US, there is a water tank for each county. Similarly, we have 4000L capacity tanks in our neighbourhood. In all cases, water has to be pumped into it; it never fills on its own. There is a constant supply and when it happens continuously, an overflow occurs.<br>&nbsp;<br><b>2.Overflow means more than enough</b>.<br><br>Fill a cup beyond measure and it overflows onto the saucer. Overflow is not sufficiency but abundancy beyond need, requirement.<br>2Cor 9.8 says, “…… abound in every good work.” God wishes his children to be filled with blessings to a point of overflow. This flows to others and becomes a blessing to them.<br>Deut. 28. 1 – 14 speaks of abundance, not in debt to anyone but a giver to many.<br>Our shortcoming is that we don’t grow to that standard.<br>Mal 3.10 speaks of ‘Blessing poured out beyond storage.’ Declare – ‘Beyond Storage.’ It was an era of plentiful in Joseph’s times – more warehouses were constructed to store the abundant harvest.<br>When we stand for God and honour and respect Him, God will bless us in abundance beyond our storage capacity. Amen!<br>Phil 4.19 affirms – ‘God supplies all your needs.’<br>But be careful and attentive not to waste the overflow God has given us, because it is to bless others.<br>In Jn 6, Jesus multiplies the bread. He instructs the disciples to collect the leftovers, 12 baskets full – no wastage.<br>If God gives to overflowing, do no waste; it is for others.<br><br><b>3.Overflow impacts others around you.</b><br><br>You experience overflow, it influences all around you. Overflow is never meant to stay contained. Share it with others. It becomes a blessing to them.<br>Gen 12. 2- ‘You will be a blessing!’ Declare – ‘I am a blessing.’<br>Jn 7. 38 says, “……rivers of living water will overflow….” from a person, an individual who believes in God.<br>Pro 11.25 says, “…. whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” A lighted lamp will give light not just to a person alone but to all around it. An example of selflessness. Let your light shine to others. Let your blessing overflow to others. I pray for such an experience for you.<br>A life in overflow blesses others!<br><br><b>4.Overflow is sustained by God’s goodness and love.</b><br><br>Ps.23. 5-6 - ‘Surely goodness and love (mercy in some versions) will follow me.’ The foundation of ‘Overflow’ is God’s goodness, love, mercy, faithfulness and so forth.<br>I prophesy that whatever scarcity you experience in your life will be changed by God to abundance, that is overflowing. Get ready with your vessels – blessings for others, even for nations, churches, will flow from you!<br>Some scriptures to ponder –<br>Lam 3.22 – 23, the essence being, ‘His mercies are new every morning.’<br>Ps.36. 7-8 says, ‘People feast on the abundance of Your house.’ When God blesses a person or a nation, it is always in abundance. When God blessed the nation under Solomon’s reign, silver was in surplus that it had the value of rocks alone. The people prospered, the palace and the temple too prospered. I pray that this kind of abundance enters your dwelling.<br>Rm 8.38-39 reminds us, ‘Nothing can separate us from God’s love.’ There are 17 reasons which show why one cannot be detached from the love of Christ. It is a big consolation, relief to know this especially when we land in sin and worry about losing God’s love. But there is one reason which detach us from God’s love. Generational blessing flows from God's mercy.<br></b><br>The foundation of generational blessing is not human perfection, but God’s mercy.<br>Exodus 20:6 - but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.<br>The LORD’s love is &nbsp;from everlasting to everlasting (Psalm 103:17)<br>You are saved because of His mercy (Titus 3:5)<br>A spring at the source of a river keeps supplying water continuously. God's mercy is the source that sustains blessings across generations. Thank God, for His mercies are new every morning.<br><br><b>2. Generational blessing is activated by reverence for God.</b><br><br>The fear of the Lord means honour, reverence and obedience.<br>Blessed are those who fear the Lord. Their children will be mighty in the land. (Psalm 112:1,2)<br>Proverbs 14:26 - Whoever fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge.<br>Deuteronomy 5:29 - Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!<br>Although God’s mercy flows from generation to generation; to ensure the flow is not hindered, each generation must fear the Lord and live their lives accordingly so that the generational blessing remains activated for a thousand generations.<br><br><br><b>3. Generational blessing extends beyond one's lifetime.</b><br><br>What God does in one’s life can impact many lives after it.<br>Genesis 17:7 - I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.<br>God will not violate His covenant although generations can choose to break or walk away from the covenant. We often may have come across families where though their parents loved and served the Lord and lived a blessed life, we don’t see the same in their children's lives. That’s because their blessings are hindered due to their way of living - without honouring and obeying God. When children choose to align their lives with the Word and honour God, &nbsp;they are positioning themselves to receive what God has already prepared.<br>Tell the next generation, the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord. (Psalm 78:4)<br>A mature tree can last for over a century, serving as a living legacy that provides shade, food, and cleaner air for generations. See to it that the seeds we sow today (our deeds/ decisions/ choices) will be for the blessing of our future generations. Your walk with God can bless future generations.<br><br><b>4. Generational blessings are intentionally passed on.</b><br><br>Blessings continue when they are taught, modelled and declared.<br>Deuteronomy 6: 6,7 - &nbsp;These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.<br>Joshua 24:15 - But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.<br>Proverbs 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.<br>Faith and values must be intentionally passed on to the next generation.<br><br><i><b>Declaration - The blessing of the Lord flows through me to future generations. His love endures forever.<br><br>DECLARATION: &nbsp;Gratitude fills my heart today; thanksgiving multipli+se relationship with God, understand His ways in depth and then only can we realise how ‘good to taste’ God is. &nbsp;<br><br>Psalm 100: 5 - For the Lord is good and His love endures forever, His faithfulness continues through all generations.<br><br>This is a proclamation, a decree of the goodness of God. &nbsp;In our lives when we encounter many people and after a period of friendship we are able to say that person is ‘good’. &nbsp;This is related to his good character, this does not mean that he is without sin. &nbsp;But in the case of God, there is absolutely no sin in Him. &nbsp;Presuming God to be cruel or without compassion is a totally wrong notion. &nbsp;<br><br>In the book of Job, we see calamity upon calamity right from the first chapter. &nbsp;But towards the end, Job says that he had only a rough notion of who God was……now he has conversed with God and understands His goodness and mercy. &nbsp;We enjoy the goodness of God every moment of our life - but many fail to take this into account and hence forgo thanksgiving.<br><br>Thanksgiving is a choice in every season: &nbsp;Thanksgiving should not be based on circumstances but done with intention to a good God. &nbsp;<br><br>Psalm 34: 1 - I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.<br><br>This was David’s conviction and decision - to praise God in all seasons. &nbsp;To keep His praises everflowing from his lips.<br><br>1 Thessalonians 5: 18 - Give thanks in all circumstances. &nbsp;<br>Habakkuk 3: 17 - Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls ………………..yet I will rejoice in the Lord.<br>Ephesians 5: 20 - Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. &nbsp;<br><br>A sportsperson goes for training every day of the week to maintain his body and be fit for the games, for training in better techniques of play and to be in perfect discipline. &nbsp;He does not bother with rain or sun but is determined not to miss his coaching schedule. &nbsp;Similarly, thanksgiving is to be practised consistently not occasionally.<br><br>Thanksgiving shifts focus from lack to abundance: &nbsp;If we are able to develop a habit of constant thanksgiving regardless of the circumstances, our focus slowly shifts from our situation of lack to abundance. &nbsp;This is because a person who consistently maintains a spirit of thanksgiving does not focus on his failures or shortcomings or lack, but looks to the face of God - his focus is on God. &nbsp;A heart of gratitude brings about a change in perspective. &nbsp;Instead of focussing on what is missing, we ought to highlight our ‘haves’. &nbsp;<br><br>Psalm 103: 2 - Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits.<br><br>In the above psalm, the person is reminding his own self to always praise the Lord and to forget the benefits God has done. &nbsp;<br><br>Philippians 4: 6 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.<br><br>Thanksgiving sustains joy and strength: &nbsp;<br><br>Psalm 28: 7 - The Lord is my strength and my shield; I rest in his overflowing supply and shalom.<br><br>Let’s dive into the context of Philippians 4:19, Paul was jailed during this time and had been through multiple tough and difficult encounters with the Jews. In fact, he had grown in his strength to deal with such situations. He was able to find joy in difficult and trying situations and face them head on without bitterness.<br><br>Philippians 4:13 says, ‘I can do all this through him who gives me strength.’<br><br>Paul went through umpteen trials in his life and his strength to face them grew because he lived a life in alignment with God, talking to God and seeking counsel from God, all the while spreading the good news among the Gentiles and testifying for the Way. The Book of Philippians is written as a letter to Philippians where Paul thanks them for sending him financial support. And then he goes to say that you supported and our Lord will be there for and meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory.<br><br>God’s Provision Is Personal and Certain<br><br>God will provide for us personally and certainly. As Philippians 4:19 says, our God will supply ALL YOUR NEEDS. It is not your challenges or issues, but your needs. He is our Lord who will certainly meet everything that we need to live a good and comfortable life. We have a wonderful supplier and source in God. God’s provision is not fate, it is truly personal and assured. In the right time, our Lord God will make it happen. If you go back to the context of the verse, the congregation of Philippians contributed financially to the Lord’s work by supporting Paul, hence Paul says, God will supply your needs. Our needs are not supplied in accordance with our income flow, but according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.<br><br>Psalm 23:1 says, ‘The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.’<br><br>Matthew 6:8 says, ‘Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.’<br><br>Romans 8:32 says, ‘He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?’<br><br>A tailor measures you and makes clothes made to your measure. In the same way, our Father in heaven provides for us and his provision for us is personal and is specifically created keeping us in mind. Every person's need is different and as God will provide as per your needs.<br><br>God Supplies Needs and Not Just Wants<br><br>Each of us have needs and along with these, we have wants and desires as well. God supplies our needs first, before he gives us our wants. God's provision focuses on what is truly necessary.<br><br>Matthew 6: 31-33 says, ‘31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’<br><br>1 Timothy 6:8 says, ‘ But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.’<br><br>Hebrews 13:5 says, ‘Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”’<br><br>If you visit a doctor, they prescribe you medication that you need. They don’t give you every medication in the market, instead they give you the one you need. In the same way, God may not give you everything in the world, but he will certainly give you what you need.<br><br>Provision Comes From God’s Unlimited Resources<br><br>God’s provisions are unlimited, his storehouses and warehouses are unlimited. And it is this God that cares for us and provides for us, as it is written ‘according to his glorious riches’. God does not give out of limitation but out of abundance. He is a God without constraints and limitations. In this world itself, God has created everything that we need – oxygen, water, nutrients, protein and such. His resources are abundant in this world.<br><br>Ephesians 3:20 says, ‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us’.<br><br>Psalms 50:10 says, ‘for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.’<br><br>On Palm Sunday, Jesus rode on the back of a donkey. His disciples were sent to bring him a donkey and throughout this journey, there was no question of ownership, as the donkey and all other beings in this world belonged to him, our Jesus Christ.<br><br>Haggai 2:8 says, ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty.’<br><br>We should never depend on human supply. Human supply is limited and will not be able to satiate all our needs. It’s like a small well or a cup of water even. However when you go to God, it’s an ocean of abundance. Be it love, be it wealth, be it compassion, or wisdom.<br><br>Provision Brings Peace And Not Anxiety<br><br>God’s provision is meant to bring us rest and not worry. When God cares for us, trust in him and rest in him. We will take care of the rest.<br><br>Philippians 4:6-7 says, ‘6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’<br><br>Matthew 6:26 says, ‘Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?’<br><br>Isaiah 26:3 says, ‘You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.’<br><br>The people of God are like passengers travelling in a train with a reserved ticket. (Anointing)</div></div><div class="sp-block sp-text-block " data-type="text" data-id="2" style="text-align:start;"><div class="sp-block-content"  style="">Today’s focus word is ‘Anointing’ and the focus verse is ….<br>1Jn 2.20 which says, “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.”<br>Declaration: The Holy Spirit’s anointing empowers me to live victoriously and bless others today.<br>Anointing is a favourite topic for me and this is one of my all-time favourite verses. I remember preaching this verse in many conferences, crusades and especially in the ‘Set the Nations on Fire’ conference and each time, there was a mighty release of anointing.<br>4 points to ponder …..<br><br><b>1.The Anointing is God within you.</b><br><br>The experience of God residing in you is ‘Anointing.’ It is not external but is the in dwelling presence and power of the Holy Spirit! It is the anointing in us, which comes from above and operates within. When Jesus ministered, the power came from within Him under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and flowed to the woman who was bleeding, to the crippled, to the lepers, and to all who approached Him. He was the distribution hub!<br>The power from within gives the experience of the anointing residing in us. Many are under the misunderstanding that we experience anointing only when we minister or attend church or pray diligently in fellowship, while on all other days, Mon – Sat, the experience is little or not there. We feel it powerfully on Sunday, especially during worship and Word. But that is not so.<br>1Jn 2.27 - The anointing you received remains (abides) in you. When the Holy Spirit dwells in you, you become His housing, address, His dwelling. 1Cor 3.16, 6.19 – you are God’s temple, His mansion. The Holy Spirit operates in us - we are His house! Sometimes He may not be operational but He is still there. When praying for the sick, or ministering the Word or worshipping God; the Holy Spirit’s anointing is then active and operates from within us. 1Cor 6.19 reminds us, Our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Jn 14.17 says, “He lives with you and will be with you.”<br>We use electrical appliances. They need to be connected to a power source to work, to function properly. A power cut or a loose contact will cause it to be inoperable.<br>The anointing is the power source of a believer’s life!<br>Working under the control of the Holy Spirit is very easy, so effortless and we don’t need to struggle in our own efforts.<br><br><b>2.The Anointing Teaches and Guides into Truth.</b><br><br>Anointing is a teacher, a Rabbi. Even if no one teaches us, the Holy Spirit’s anointing, if it resides in us, will reveal valuable lessons through life experiences, ministry, the Word. He is like a professor, a mentor! Unlike other professors who are limited to their core subject; the anointing is able to teach us about the present life, future, our past, about the Word, about the universe, any topic; He can reveal to us the hidden truths for He is very qualified and able.<br>1Jn 2.20 says, “….. and all of you know the truth.” Anointing leads us to truth. It stirs up the anointing, the fire in you. The Holy Spirit gives you discernment, understanding, and spiritual clarity.<br>Jn 16.13 reminds us that the Spirit of truth will guide you!<br>1Cor 2.12 speaks, “…. We have received the Spirit from God.”<br>Many do not know about God. Atheists, critical thinkers do not believe in the existence of God. Even believers who do not heed the guidance of the Holy Spirit, are clueless about God.<br>If you want to understand God, you need the help of His Spirit that proceeds from God – the Holy Spirit. If we are to know and understand God, the Holy Spirit needs to come into us to reveal the knowledge and understanding of God. 1Cor 2.12 – speaks of how the man understands what comes from man; but that of the spirit is only understood through the Holy Spirit. We can write books, songs and even preach about God but only if the Holy Spirit resides in us can we know, understand and receive revelation about God. So just ignore what people speak about God. A person who has received the Holy Spirit in him will get revelation and understanding about God.<br>Ps. 25.9 says, “He guides the humble in what is right….” The anointing that is in us will teach us. He is a teacher and reveals to us as we read the Word, and listen to it. The best opportune time to learn about God is when the Word is being preached; if you are able to connect and stay connected in the spirit, then you would receive more revelation than what is being preached by the anointed preacher. When our spirit connects with the Holy Spirit, we receive more revelation.<br><br><b>3. The Anointing empowers for purpose</b><br><br>Anointing purifies an individual for a particular purpose. The purpose of anointing is to strengthen and equip each individual effectively for a particular work, task or ministry according to God’s calling. For example, some people are called to be teachers or apostles or engineers or home makers. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is tasked to help them to work effectively in their station or calling.<br>Acts 10.38 speaks of how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil because God was with Him.<br>Isa 10.27 – The yoke will be broken because of the anointing. The anointing in us has the power to break yokes!<br>Lk 4.18 – The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me. God’s Spirit is upon me.<br>Declare – God’s anointing is upon me.<br>I had a passion for tools. I would use them effectively. Similarly, when the anointing of the Holy Spirit works in us we become effective in the purpose. The anointing activates our calling and makes us effective.<br><br><b>4.The anointing must be honoured and maintained.</b><br><br>It is a free gift and must be valued and cultivated without losing it. In Corona times, I would minister over zoom platforms in other fellowships. Once the host pastor, just before introducing me, warned the congregation not to engage in any activity that would cause them to lose their anointing. He started crying as soon as he said that. I understood how much that host valued and honoured the anointing that was upon him.<br>Eph 4.30 says, “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”<br>2Tim 1.6 says, “…. fan into flame the gift of God, ….”<br>Gal 5.25 says, “…. Keep in step with the Spirit” as the Holy Spirit leads you. For a flame or fire to be sustained, it needs fuel – firewood, diesel, oil to feed it or keep it burning. Paul instructed Timothy not to neglect his anointing but to fan it into flame. More oxygen, more flame. Faith is not optional, but foundational.<br>Romans 10:17 - Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.<br>John 20:29 - Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”<br>2 Corinthians 5:7 - For we live by faith, not by sight.<br>Real faith connects us with God and helps us to believe not only that He exists, but also rewards us when we earnestly seek Him.<br><br>2. Faith begins with knowing ‘God is real’.<br><br>Faith starts with recognizing God’s reality and presence.<br>Psalm 14:1 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.<br>It’s simple logic that there’s a creator behind anything that exists.<br>Romans 1:20 - For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.<br>Jeremiah 29:13 - You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.<br>You cannot have a conversation with someone you do not believe exists.<br><br>3. Faith trusts that God rewards those who seek Him.<br><br>Faith believes not only that God exists, but that He responds.<br>Matthew 7:7 - Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.<br>Mark 11:24 - Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.<br>Psalm 34:10 - The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.<br>Just as a farmer sows seeds anticipating a great harvest, we must believe God with the expectation that He will bless and release His favor upon us.<br><br><br>4. Faith requires diligent pursuit.<br><br>Faith is active, not passive.<br>Hebrews 10:38 - But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.<br>Always pray and not give up (Luke 18:1)<br>Galatians 6:9 - Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.<br>Miners dig deep into the earth in search of riches; and this would take weeks, months or years. Similarly, faith keeps pursuing God with expectation.<br><br>Declaration - My faith pleases God. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<section class="sp-section sp-scheme-0" data-index="5" data-scheme="0"><div class="sp-section-slide"  data-label="Main" ><div class="sp-section-content" ><div class="sp-grid sp-col sp-col-24"><div class="sp-block sp-text-block " data-type="text" data-id="0" style=""><div class="sp-block-content"  style=""><b>OBEDIENCE</b></div></div><div class="sp-block sp-text-block " data-type="text" data-id="1" style="text-align:start;"><div class="sp-block-content"  style="">OBEDIENCE</div></div><div class="sp-block sp-text-block " data-type="text" data-id="2" style="text-align:start;"><div class="sp-block-content"  style="">FOCUS VERSE: Deuteronomy 28: 1 - If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all His commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on the earth.<br><br>DECLARATION: &nbsp;My obedience unlocks heaven’s blessings. &nbsp;I walk in alignment with God’s will today.<br><br>Obedience is the pathway to elevation: &nbsp;Anyone seeking elevation in their life, should walk in obedience to God, to His teaching in the Word. &nbsp;As an elevator takes you to higher level storeys in a building, so also obedience to God is the ‘switch’ that takes you higher and higher to set you above all the nations. &nbsp;Elevation in the kingdom of God is not random, but as a result of obedience to God’s will. &nbsp;However great may be your sacrifice, it is pleasing to God only when it follows obedience. &nbsp;<br><br>1 Samuel 15: 22 - To obey is better than sacrifice. &nbsp;<br>James 1: 25 - The one who does it will be blessed. &nbsp;<br><br>In some buildings or structures access may be denied after a certain level. &nbsp;You require special authorisation to proceed to higher levels. &nbsp;Similarly, obedience to the commands of God is the access that lifts you higher and higher and higher. &nbsp;<br><br>Obedience requires attention and intentionality: &nbsp;Obedience is not casual, it is deliberate. &nbsp;The Bible teaches us to ‘carefully follow’ &nbsp;all the commands of God - this requires total attention on our part and is to be followed with deliberate intention. &nbsp;<br><br>Joshua 1: 7 - Be careful to obey all the Law. &nbsp;<br>Psalm 119: 4 - You have laid down precepts to be fully obeyed. &nbsp;<br>John 14: 15 - If you love Me keep my commands.<br><br>Obedience is a love language of God as also is acts of service. &nbsp;Let us take the illustration of a pilot preparing to land an aircraft. &nbsp;He has to fly to the landing area strictly abiding by the instructions of the control tower. &nbsp;Failure to do so may result in disaster - he could land at an improper place or even crash land. &nbsp;Similarly, we have to fully obey the commands of God; we cannot choose certain portions of the Bible according to our convenience and abide by them. &nbsp;<br><br>Obedience aligns you with God’s order: &nbsp;Obedience positions your life under God’s structure and flow. &nbsp;<br><br>Isaiah 1: 19 - If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land. &nbsp;<br>John 2: 5 - Do whatever He tells you.<br>Romans 6: 16 - You are slaves to the one you obey. &nbsp;<br><br>If you choose to obey God, you will do good - there will be order, flow and progress. &nbsp;If you choose to obey and follow a sinful pattern, that will be evident in your life.<br><br>Obedience demonstrates trust and love for God: &nbsp;When you choose to obey God, it shows your complete trust in Him and you also display your love for your Father. &nbsp;Do not consider it to be only a duty you need to complete. &nbsp;<br><br>John 14: 24 - Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.<br>1 John 5: 3 - His commands are not burdensome. &nbsp;<br>Hebrews 11: 8 - Abraham obeyed by faith. &nbsp;<br><br>God bless you all!</div></div><div class="sp-block sp-text-block " data-type="text" data-id="3" style="text-align:start;"><div class="sp-block-content"  style=""><b>Watch The Full Video Here:</b></div></div><div class="sp-block sp-video-block " data-type="video" data-id="4" style="text-align:start;"><div class="sp-block-content"  style=""><div class="video-holder"  data-id="0rH9-llPejc" data-source="youtube"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0rH9-llPejc?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div></div></div></div></div></div></section>]]></content:encoded>

Against such things there is no law’<br><br>The declaration for today is ‘The Spirit produces beautiful fruit in me today; my life reflects Christ to everyone I meet.’<br><br>The Fruit Of The Spirit Is The Evidence of God's Work Within<br><br>Fruit is not something we force, it’s something that grows naturally within.<br><br>John 15:8 says, ‘This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.’<br><br>When you bear much fruit, you glorify our Father in Heaven and on earth.<br><br>Philippians 1:11 says, ‘filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.’<br><br>The fruit of righteousness is a fruit of the Spirit.<br><br>Matthew 7:16 says, ‘ By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?’<br><br>This verse is a clue to recognise a true disciple of Christ. Essentially the one who bears the fruit of the Spirit, is a true disciple in Christ. They will be a true pastor, a true prophet and such if they bear the fruit of the Spirit.<br><br>Fruit of the Spirit is seen in the outward world through the acts of the person. It could be their speech, actions and such. They become indicators of someone's character and their discipleship in Christ. Let’s take the example of a tree that looks beautiful with its green leaves and long branches, luscious and bright. However, the tree does not bear any fruit. To make it look like it’s a fruitful tree, you go out and buy mangoes that could possibly look like a fruit of the tree. You then tie the mangoes on to the tree to give the impression of a full fruitful tree. But the truth is, doing so does not help anyone. It does not change the fruitfulness of the tree. In the same way, you cannot forcefully bring out the fruit of the Spirit in a person, it should naturally flourish from within them.<br><br>If the tree is good, the fruit that comes from it will also be good. If the tree is bad, then the fruit will also be bad.<br><br>The Fruit Is Singular, But Manifold<br><br>If you look at the various translations that exist, it’s always called the ‘Fruit’ of the Spirit and not ‘Fruits’ of the Spirit. Don’t you think it should be Fruits, though? After all there are many attributes that are considered to be ‘Fruits’ of the Spirit. However, in all the translations, it’s always referred to in its singular form. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control all come together to form, fruit of the Spirit.<br><br>Colossians 3:12-14 says, ‘12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 &nbsp;Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.’<br><br>2 Peter 1:5-7 says, ‘5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.’<br><br>As mentioned in the verses above, the ‘Fruit of the Spirit’ is singular, yet it represents a collection of qualities. These are not developed all at once, but are cultivated gradually, one by one. Like a tree that does not bear fruit on every branch at the same time, growth happens in seasons, each quality emerging and maturing over time.<br><br>Ephesians 5:9 says, ‘for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth’<br><br>As a child of God, each of us is expected to emit the fruit of light and not the fruit of darkness. Think of it like a white light entering a prism. When that single beam of light enters, it disperse into 7 different colours, forming the VIBGYOR. In the same way, when the Holy Spirit enters our hearts, we emit the fruit of Spirit.<br><br>The Fruit Grows By Abiding In Christ<br><br>Fruitfulness depends on connection with Christ and not effort alone. It is not by our efforts alone but through Godly dependence. For a tree to bear fruit, it does not struggle unnecessarily, it does not toil a lot. Rather it is a natural, organic phenomenon. In the same way, we reflect or carry the fruit of the Spirit, when we are in constant connection with God. These attributes take shape in us naturally and are not forced. &nbsp;<br><br>John 15:5 says, ‘“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.’<br><br>Psalms 1:3 says, ‘That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.’<br>Jeremiah 17:8 says, ‘They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”<br><br>Each of these verses highlight the need for water, a source of nutrients to enable the tree's growth. Our source is the Lord, and with the Holy Spirit in us we are able to nurture the fruit of the Spirit in us. Therefore, it is only when we abide in God, can we produce the fruit of the Spirit, because life flows through this connection.<br><br>The Fruit Requires Cultivation And Cooperation<br><br>To bear fruits, you must cultivate, you must nurture; it’s not a hands-off process. While the Spirit cultivates us, we must cooperate as well. The fruit of the Spirit is cultivated in us, when we give the Spirit the space and the freedom to do the work in us.<br><br>Galatians 5:16 says, ‘So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.’<br><br>Romans 8:13 says, ‘ For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.’<br><br>It is only when the flesh dies can the Spirit work in us. We must submit ourselves to be molded by God and not make decisions or choices that rely on satiating our flesh. A farmer can sow seeds, ensure that it's given enough sunlight and water, but the farmer cannot make the seed germinate through his own will. In the same way, the Holy Spirit can guide us, correct us, and help us grow, but at the end of the day it’s our choice and will that dictate the outcomes. Growth happens when there is cooperation. Jesus is our shepherd, who bought us with His own blood. He also appointed shepherds for different flocks: our leaders and ministers. We should receive what they have to share with us.<br>God’s provision is complete and sufficient. God is Jehovah Jireh.<br>Moses was on Mount Sinai for 80 days: the first 40 days when he received the tablets, and then another 40 days when he goes back up after the Israelites had committed idolatry.<br>Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible: The Pentateuch. He also spent the first 40 years under the pharaoh, the next 40 years in the wilderness, and the last 40 years leading the Israelites and walking with God. He learned about everything from God and wrote the 5 books: including the story of creation.<br>God created the whole world in 6 days and didn’t have to create anything after that. The world lacked nothing. He already created it all.<br>Philippians 4:19<br>2 Corinthians 8:9<br>“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich”<br>Psalm 84:11<br>“He withholds no good thing from those who walk with integrity.”<br>God’s provision is complete. But there are people who have little; this has come out of poor governance, greed, and sin. The world contains enough for everyone to live in abundance. But today, 99% of resources lie with just 1% of the population. Distribution is the problem.<br>Provision is often guided, not dropped. A shepherd doesn’t drop food from the sky, he leads the sheep to green pastures.<br>Psalm 23:2<br>In Exodus 16, God provided manna, but people had to gather it.<br>Proverbs 3:6<br>Many times, our provision comes through direction. In some special cases, like with Hagar, who cried out for water, God provided water. Same with manna to the Israelites. These are rare incidents. What God usually does is not miracles, he usually blesses us by leading us.<br>Provision requires trust and rest. If we get worried, we lose our peace. But trusting in God brings peace.<br>Matthew 6:36<br>The birds of the sky have no stress or worry.<br>Hebrews 4:3<br>Where our trust drops, we lose our peace.<br>Psalm 37:25<br>If we walk in faith, credited to us as righteousness, we are never forsaken.<br>Most people sleep when they get inside a vehicle; because they trust who is at the wheel. If it’s a rash driver, you lose your piece and don’t even close your eyes.<br>If the Lord holds your life and you trust Him, you can fully rest. Trust in God allows you to rest in His provision. There are other connections – human, wrong or evil connections that can also enter our life. But God connects people for purpose. For example, 1Sam 18.1 speaks of Jonathan’s heart. It was literally knit together with David’s. God brings certain hearts together. Jonathan was a descendant from the tribe of Benjamin, the son of Saul, the first King of Israel while David was Jesse’s son. The same prophet Samuel who anointed King Saul, anointed David the Shepherd boy.<br>Jonathan and David were very close to each other (heart to heart) - &nbsp;a godly relationship. Similarly, in Acts 9.27, we see another connection – Barnabas connected Saul to the apostles (New Testament). Jonathan and David’s relationship was a long standing one and David got connected to the Royal family. David married Michal (Jonathan’s sister). Jonathan and David shared a covenant relationship – stronger than a familial one. A divine love. David benefitted much from this relationship, even Israel too. A good relationship!<br>Similarly, in the New Testament, Saul who later became Paul – was a Pharisee of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew. Yet he tortured the Christians, and executed women, children, men and even killed Stephen. He was saved when he had an encounter with Jesus. Yet no one in the church accepted him at first because he was a ruthless murderer of Christians. Still Barnabas, (meaning son of encouragement) took to him in Godly fellowship. He connected him to the foundational apostles. Misunderstandings, prejudices were cleared and a divine connection was formed.<br>In Ruth 2.3, we see that Ruth happened to come to Boaz’s field. She was a widow, an orphan, a foreigner and a Moabite (a cursed lineage) yet Boaz married her – a divine connection was forged. From that lineage came Jesse, Kind David and finally Jesus.<br>I want to give you an illustration of a machine with many parts, quite complex. It can be taken out part by part. Only when the parts are fixed together can it work as an engine, a motor, a pump or even a tailoring machine. Similarly, if we are detached from a community or body, there won’t be a united effort or impact. But if divinely connected, a purpose or goal will be brought out by God through it.<br>&nbsp;<br>2.Your gift is the key to connection<br>God’s grace in you, God given gift makes room for Him. This brings us into the presence of important people. Divine connections are often unlocked through your God given gift.<br>For example; Exo 31. 3 - 5 – God gave skill and ability.<br>Mt. 25. 14 – 15 – each was given talents.<br>1Pet 4.10 speaks - ‘use your gift to serve others.’<br>When you want to unlock a door you simply insert a key into the lock and turn (effortless job) and the door opens. &nbsp; The door can’t be forced open. Whatever talents God has entrusted us – they take us to higher positions.<br>An illustration would be the poets or patrons in the King’s palace. Their skills/talents led them to their position in the court. Kids or youth with special skills receive the President’s award or recognition. These talents, gifts which are God given lead to favoured positions and divine connections.<br>&nbsp;<br>3.Right connections accelerate destiny<br>Right or divine connections brings us before great men. God uses divine doors, gives opportunities to accelerate progress. Certain individuals are brought into our life for this purpose and they are called destiny helpers.<br>A few examples – you need to get admission for your child at school. &nbsp;You meet up with someone who has connection in the school and helps you. So in spite of the heavy queue for the admission process, you finish the paperwork quickly and leave. This is how God gets you into divine connection with destiny helpers. &nbsp;I prophesy that God will connect you with certain destiny helpers this month. Confess amen.<br>Pro 13.20 says, “Walk with wise and become wise……”<br>Eccl 4.9 says, “Two are better than one…..”<br>In Gen 41, Joseph was brought before Pharaoh. There were many divine connections in his life. From the pit, to being sold as a slave, to Potiphar’s house, to the jail, the baker and the cup bearer’s dreams which were connected to be reinstated as the King’s cup bearer while the other was removed. Later Joseph was brought out to use his God given skill to interpret the Pharaoh’s dreams and gets instated as prime minister. This happened through divine connection. God will bring certain divine connections into your life too!<br>When we walk in God’s grace according to His will and not ours, God will connect us to certain people. When you are alone, someone picks you up and takes you to the place you want to go. Like this certain people will come to your life who will quickly take you to your destiny. They accelerate your move.<br>&nbsp;<br>4.Divine connections require character and stewardship<br>Being of right character and right management capabilities will lead you to divine connections. Divine connections can open doors; but character keeps them open.<br>Prov 22. 29 – skilled and diligent stand before kings. They are self-disciplined and skillful.<br>Lk 16.10 – says, “whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much…..” Faithful in little, faithful in much!<br>Col3.23 – work heartily as for the Lord.<br>God brings you into the presence of people among whom you are not qualified to be with. Your personality, behavior decides whether you’ll continue there. If you behave out of protocol, how will you last? You’ll be thrown out. So character sustains divine connections. God brings many into divine connection but because they do not mold their character properly, they are removed from the connection.<br>To recap: 1. Divine connections are orchestrated by God.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 2. Wisdom comes from God as the Source.</b><br><br>True wisdom is not merely human intelligence. It is divine insight. Intelligence is different from wisdom.<br>James 1:5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.<br>Proverbs 9:10 - The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.<br>Ecclesiastes 2:26 - To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness.<br>A person may have a lot of knowledge, but still make poor decisions. Wisdom is not about knowing more or gathering more information; it is about knowing what to do.<br><br><b>2. Understanding gives clarity to life.</b><br><br>With understanding, we see life and relationships with a clear perspective, we can interpret correctly and respond wisely.<br>Proverbs 4:7 - The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.<br>Psalm 119:130 - The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.<br>Colossians 1:9 - We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives<br>Without understanding, even good information can lead to wrong decisions.<br><br><b>3. Wisdom and understanding work together.</b><br><br>Wisdom and understanding are not separate; they function together. Wisdom tells us “What” to do; whereas understanding is the answer to “Why” And “How” To do.<br>Proverbs 3:19 - By wisdom the LORD laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place<br>Proverbs 24:3 - By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established.<br>Ephesians 5:17 - Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.<br>A builder needs both the design and the knowledge of how to construct. So, wisdom plans and understanding establishes.<br><br><b>4. Wisdom must be applied daily</b><br><br>James 3:13 - Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.<br>Matthew 7:24 - Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.<br>Building a life upon Jesus Christ—the "Rock"—creates a foundation that endures beyond mortality, ensuring an impact that lasts unto eternity. Conversely, lives built on temporary foundations such as wealth, personal achievement, or worldly security are likened to sand, which will inevitably be shattered by the storms of life and judgment.<br>Wisdom leads to good understanding in action. (Psalm 111:10)<br>A recipe has value only when it is actually used to cook. Similarly, knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice. Wisdom must be lived out daily to produce results.<br><br>Declaration - Heavenly wisdom guides me today. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<section class="sp-section sp-scheme-0" data-index="5" data-scheme="0"><div class="sp-section-slide"  data-label="Main" ><div class="sp-section-content" ><div class="sp-grid sp-col sp-col-24"><div class="sp-block sp-text-block " data-type="text" data-id="0" style=""><div class="sp-block-content"  style=""><b>MERCY</b></div></div><div class="sp-block sp-text-block " data-type="text" data-id="1" style="text-align:start;"><div class="sp-block-content"  style="">MERCY</div></div><div class="sp-block sp-text-block " data-type="text" data-id="2" style="text-align:start;"><div class="sp-block-content"  style="">FOCUS VERSE: &nbsp;Psalm 23: 6 - Surely Your goodness and mercy will follow me all of my days…<br><br>DECLARATION: Mercy surrounds me today; God’s goodness covers my past and secures my future.<br><br>Mercy is not just our prayer but God’s pursuit of His children: &nbsp;God pursues us with His goodness and mercy. &nbsp;Things that follow us - shadow, people with bad intentions, dogs, etc. &nbsp;God’s goodness and mercy follows us like two faithful dogs taking in the scent of the master all through our life. &nbsp;But this blessing begins with - The Lord is my shepherd. &nbsp;This mercy is not passive; it actively pursues us. &nbsp;<br><br>Lamentations 3: 22, 23 - His mercies are new every morning. &nbsp;<br>Psalm 103: 10 - He does not treat us as our sins deserves or repay us according to our iniquities.<br>Luke 15: 20 - The father runs towards his son.<br><br>God’s mercy comes looking for us even when we fail. &nbsp;<br><br>Mercy covers what we deserve: &nbsp;Mercy means we do not receive the punishment we deserve. &nbsp;<br><br>Titus 3: 5 - He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. &nbsp;He saved us through the washing or rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. &nbsp;<br>Hebrews 8: 12 - For I will forgive their wickedness and I will remember their sins no more. &nbsp;<br>Micah 7: 18 - ……..God delights to show mercy.<br><br>The above verse clearly states that it is His delight to show mercy - this is because of His Father’s heart. &nbsp;God has every right to punish us but He chooses to show mercy and this we receive through Christ Jesus. &nbsp;<br><br>Mercy sustains us daily: &nbsp;God’s mercy follows us all the days of our lives. &nbsp;Mercy is not a one-time experience, but a daily supply. &nbsp;We are told that we can approach God at any time to receive His mercy. &nbsp;<br><br>Hebrews 4: 16 - Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. &nbsp;<br>Psalm 86: 5 - You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in mercy to all who call to You.<br><br>Here, we need to understand the nature and character of our God. &nbsp;Take for example, our breathing pattern. &nbsp;We breathe in and breathe out ‘24X7’ without having a second thought. &nbsp;We do not stop breathing for a second, if we do, we are lifeless. &nbsp;This is a way to explain the mercy of God. &nbsp;We need His mercy around the clock. &nbsp;<br><br>2 Samuel 24: 14 - His mercy is great.<br><br>Mercy transforms and restores: &nbsp;God’s mercy not only forgives, but restores and lifts us up. &nbsp;<br><br>Ephesians 2: 4 and 5 - Because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved. &nbsp;<br>1 Peter 1: 3 - …. Increase is not merely an ambition, it is rooted in God’s promise. It’s not just wishful thinking, but it is rooted in the promise and Word of God.<br><br>Genesis 22:17 says, ‘I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies’<br><br>It’s God’s desire for mankind to increase and this is a promise that God has given us. To increase is to follow God’s instructions and to experience his promise. This is because all species are blessed with the capability to multiply. In fact, this is part of God’s master plan. The promise to Abraham is to give him countless descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky or the sand on the seashore.<br><br>Increase is a promise from God.<br><br>Psalms 115:14 says, ‘May the Lord cause you to flourish, both you and your children.’<br><br>Isaiah 54:2-3 says, ‘“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. 3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.’<br><br>For context - the Lord is giving this promise to a barren woman. She does not have children, but despite her circumstances, God tells her that he is going to give her an ‘increase’ in her life. God tells her that her situation is going to change. Receive this in your life.<br><br>God’s promise is the blueprint of increase.<br><br>Increase Is Both Quality and Quantity<br><br>When we hear the word ‘increase’, we often relate that to an increase in number. However, in God’s eyes, increase can happen both in terms of quality and quantity. I’ve heard many people say that, in a Church, it is important to have only good and holy believers, rather than having many who attend the services. God looks at both. God desires numbers as well and not just quality. God cares about numbers and a proof of that is the book of Numbers. It is written in the Word of God, that he looks for the lost sheep even if the other 99 is safe and secure. At the same time, quality is equally important and that is weighed by our attitude and growth in character. As we get closer to God, our character must also reflect this. We should imbibing the fruit of the Spirit in us and in our character. Expansion and influence must increase.Multiplication and impact in our ministry are also other attributes that supplement quality.<br><br>Proverbs 4:18 says, ‘The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.’<br><br>Colossians 1:10 says, ‘so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God’<br><br>Increase Requires Alignment With God<br><br>We will experience an ‘increase’ in our lives, only if we live in alignment with God, speaking to him, consulting with him and being in a close relationship with God.<br><br>Deuteronomy 28:1 says, ‘If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.’<br><br>Matthew 6:33 says, ‘But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’<br><br>John 15:7 says, ‘If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.’<br><br>Being in alignment with God is much like a train and the track. If the train moves along the track, then it moves forward safely and steadily, but if it falls out of the track, then heads for calamity. In the same way for us to be fruitful and prosperous in our lives, it is important to be aligned with God at all times.<br><br>Increase Must Be Stewarded Well<br><br>When we do experience an increase in our lives, it is important that we handle it well and steward that increase as per Godly principles. God only increases what is well-managed. Luke describes the core principle of managing money well.<br><br>Luke 16:10 says, ‘“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.’<br><br>It’s similar to when an employee is on probation where they are given several works and responsibilities. If the employee is deemed fit and responsible for the work given, then they are elevated to the next level.<br><br>Matthew 25:21 says, ‘“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’<br><br>The context of this parable is that a master gave his servants gold coins to multiply them through business or other pursuits. In doing so, the expectation is that they multiply the given amount and bring in more income. Each of the servants were given different amounts and at the end of it, some doubled the given gold coins, and another did not invest their money, rather left it as it is, to be returned when asked. At the end of the day, it was the servants who multiplied their coins and invested them wisely that were given more responsibilities and deemed good stewards of money.<br><br>1 Corinthians 4:2 says, ‘Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.’<br><br>This month of April, let’s aim to be good stewards of what God has entrusted with us. Declare it – My heart is full of joy and gratitude!<br>Phil 4.4 says, “Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice!”<br>Declaration: I rejoice in every blessing today; thanksgiving keeps my heart open to more of God.<br><br>Points to ponder:<br>Joy is rooted in the Lord, not in circumstances.<br>The foundation of my joy is in the Lord and not my circumstances. Paul instructs us in Phil 4.4 to rejoice in the Lord.<br><br>Biblically, joy is not based on changing situations but on an unchanging God. It is possible to find joy in the Lord always. For example, someone who has failed in the exams - &nbsp;grief of failure, fear of being a loser, fear of facing people engulfs the person. A painful situation; yet it is still possible to be joyful in the Lord because the individual may have failed in the exam but not in life! The conviction that my God keeps me in all circumstances enables me to sing and praise God and be joyful.<br>Habakkuk 3.17-18 says, “Even when everything fails, yet I will rejoice.” A vine orchard may not bloom in spite of all the hard work. Or a farm maybe devoid of cattle in spite of the tender care given to the livestock. No figs on fig tree, no yield from field, all business gone – wasted years of hard work… may even contemplate the worst course of action.…. still he does not say that or go there. He says……still I will rejoice in the Lord!<br><br>Ps 16.11 states that in your presence there is fullness of joy.<br>Neh 8.10 says, “….. the joy of the Lord is your strength.” My joy is in the joy of the Lord! Challenges at work place, business, in the family; yet I will not chase joy in these. My joy is in the joy of the Lord.<br><br>Joy is a decision, not just a feeling!<br>We do have moments or feelings of joy for sure. But real joy is a decision. Paul repeatedly says, “….. and again I say: Rejoice in the Lord!” It is very important and confidence arises from understanding it. Know that all circumstances are temporary and the joy from such are fleeting.<br><br>Joy is intentional and is created. Ps 118.24 – ‘This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.’ This is my decision now – to rejoice. Col 3.15 says, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts …..” 1Thes 5.16 says, ‘Rejoice always.’ There may not always be opportunity to rejoice; rather a lot of reasons to be sad about. In my childhood, I would look for reasons to be unhappy. But once I learned to be joyous in the Lord – I do not look to my situations but rejoice in the Lord. It was my choice. 1Thes 5.16 reminds us – “Rejoice always!” If you train yourself to rejoice in the Lord; then you will make progress in life. Choosing joy daily, will keep your inner life in tune with God.<br><br>Gratitude unlocks continuous joy.<br>Gratitude releases a flow of joy in our lives as both are deeply connected. An unthankful heart can never be happy. A thankful heart is overflowing with joy!<br>I have observed some of the elderly speaking of being alone with no one to inquire about them; illness, woes etc.. But there are those whose presence is an encouragement to us. They speak of God’s goodness; faithfulness through the years and cared for by the children and grandchildren and have no complaints about their kids even if they don’t visit understanding their problems. They depend on God’s care and contemplate if they are worthy of it? Some elderly have this kind of mentality. There are some who are grateful while others fill their hearts with complaints.<br><br>Thankfulness has a quality – it shifts its focus from what is lacking to what God has done! An unthankful heart has plenty of reason to grumble – a lot of negativity! Give them an exercise to list all the good things (atleast 15) God has done in their lives. Writing brings about a deliverance, the person becomes free.<br>1Thes 5.18 says, “Give thanks in all circumstances; …..”<br><br>Ps 103.2 says, “…. Forget not all his benefits.”<br>Col 3.17 reminds us – give thanks in everything.<br><br>We get to see two types of people – some choose to thank God for all that is there while others choose to grumble/complain for what is not there especially in the matters of food.<br>When Nehemiah and Emie were small, I would pick each food on the plate and tell them it’s good. They got a cake on my birthday, with a flag which said ‘it is good!’ When we learn to see good in everything, it is good for us and others too. Gratitude transforms how we experience life. If we don’t learn to see good, our lives will be filled with bitterness.<br>A change of perspective brings about a change in our experiences.<br>Joy and Gratitude strengthens the inner life.<br><br>David’s life, Jesus’ life – giving thanks to God for the bread. Psalm 103 written by David is a psalm of gratitude. Decide now to have a heart of gratitude.<br>Joy is not a weakness; it is a strength.<br>Gratitude builds resilience and stability in the heart. Isa 61.3 speaks of a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. Remove the garment of despair. Develop a heart of thankfulness. Wear the garment of praise!<br><br>Rom 15.13 speaks of being &nbsp;filled with all joy and peace as you trust in Him.<br>Ps. 28.7 says, “…. my heart leaps for joy …..”<br><br>Speaking of joy and gratitude, a thought comes to mind. Some equipments like our mobile have internal battery. Once charged, it runs for hours or days with that internal power supply. Prosperity begins with God as the Source.<br></b><br>It is the Lord, your God, who gives you the ability to produce wealth. True prosperity does not begin with effort; it begins with God-given ability.<br>What do you have that you did not receive? (1 Corinthians 4:7)<br>James 1:17 - Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.<br>We often notice that although two people work in the same stream, one often flourishes more than the other - that ability in that person is not accidental, it is God-given capacity.<br><br><b>2. Prosperity is empowerment, not just possession.<br></b><br>God gives the ability to produce wealth, not just wealth itself. The ability - means the ideas, the skills, the opportunities, the wisdom to produce wealth.<br>Riches and honor are with wisdom. (Proverbs 8:18)<br>Wisdom brings success. (Ecclesiastes 10:10)<br>God filled Bezalel with skill and ability. (Exodus 31:3)<br>"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime” is a popular proverb advocating for empowerment and education over temporary charity.<br>God blesses us with capacity, not just currency.<br><br><b>3. Prosperity is connected to covenant purpose.<br></b><br>Prosperity in the Bible is never just for personal comfort. It is connected to God’s purpose - it is for Kingdom expansion, it is to bless others.<br>I will bless you, and you will be a blessing.(Genesis 12:2)<br>God provides so you can abound in every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8)<br>Seek first the Kingdom (Matthew 6:33)<br><br><b>4.
