Focus word: Guidance
Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
Declaration: The Holy Spirit guides me into all truth today. I walk on the right path without fear.
Suppose we get lost on our way to a destination, getting back on track wastes a lot of time. In the same way, in our lives when we take the wrong turns and live the wrong way, we waste a lot of time. When we accept Jesus is when our life really starts.
Here, God promises to instruct us and to teach us. He will counsel us with His loving eye upon us. God’s guidance is not mechanical, it is personal, attentive, and very loving.
John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
We have received Zoe (Hebrew: eternal) life in our spirit. This is eternal life.
The Bible is our map. And the Holy Spirit is our GPS, our guide. He will clearly tell us what to do and what not to do. Guidance is not guess work, it is clear direction from the Holy Spirit.
God’s guidance is progressive. He gives direction step by step, not all at once. If He told us all at once, we would not obey!
If He had told the Israelites about being stuck before the Red Sea and the years in the wilderness, they would not have left Egypt.
Similarly, He will guide us step by step. God rarely reveals the entire journey. Through this He protects us from many things like fear and pride.
Sometimes God tells us to wait, and sometimes to stop. This is out of love, knowing the right time. Do not get discouraged during the waiting or the pauses.
Supernatural guidance always flows through our relationship with Him. If you are not willing to follow His guidance and plan to overtake and fast track God’s plan, we will not be able to follow His guidance.
Trusting God’s guidance removes fear and doubt. Fear loses its power. Anxiety quits. Confidence rises.
The guidance for the Israelites is an example for us. They had angels surrounding them. But they also had the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire guiding them. The fire gave them light in the night and protected them from other nations. This guided them for 40 whole years!
In the New Testament, God guides us daily. If we have His guidance, we have nothing to fear.
