Focus word: Purpose
Verse: Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Declaration: Everything in my life aligns with God’s purpose, nothing is wasted in His plan.
God has a divine purpose for every life.
Some doubt that God has a plan for them, that it’s only for some big names like Abdul Kalam, Ida Scudder …….. who have done big things. This is wrong. God has a plan for each person.
We are called according to God’s purpose, not our purpose. Life is not random. Events may seem chaotic, but God is weaving everything into His divine design.
If you have seen weaving and stitching of material or designs- from sarees to showpieces- when it starts, it seems like random lines and stitches that go here and there and have no pattern. But in the end, it comes out to be a beautiful design. Only the weaver knows the outcome beforehand.
In the same way, even our lives can seem random and chaotic, but God knows the outcome of the beautiful plan He has for you- even if you have made wrong decisions!
Jeremiah 29:11  “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
You may have selected a wrong job or a wrong partner, but God can rescue you from any pit you are in.
Jonah disobeyed the Lord and went to a land called Tarshish when asked to go to Nineveh, and he fell into the sea and was swallowed by a whale for three whole days. When he came out and repented, God set him back on track in his ministry. God can change around any situation.
2. Purpose is established before birth.
The purpose for our life is decided by God before we are born.
Psalm 139:16 “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Everything is planned in advance, even before our birth. God knew that He would create man, man would sin, and He would need to prepare to save them. God  has planned for everything in advance. Including the plan for your life! Our duty is only to discover this plan. If our God’s nature is to plan in advance, we too must copy this nature and plan our life too.
A key may look very small, but it was created to open a specific door. Every person is a key like this- with a very specific purpose. Every single person is created differently- from our fingerprint to our iris pattern. Every one has a God designed purpose.
3.Purpose is discovered through obedience.
Proverbs 16:9 “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.”
Psalms 37:23 “The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.”
God reveals purpose step by step ( progressively) as we obey Him.
4. Trials do not cancel God’s purpose for your life.
Genesis 50:20 “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”
Joseph’s brothers did everything to destroy his life, but God turned it for good. God can create twists in your life, that take every trial and trouble and turn them for good! You only need to obey Him and walk close to Him.
Betrayal, delay, pain cannot destroy God’s plan for your life. If a seed needs to grow and reap harvest, it first needs to be buried. We may face trials but God brings us through them into His glorious purpose.
5. Purpose is bigger than personal success.
Acts 13:36 “Now when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed.”
Purpose is not about building our name. It is about serving God’s plan in our generation.
6. Purpose gives meaning to life.
It is the fuel for our life.
Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
A life connected to God’s purpose can never be wasted.
