Test of Faith Hebrews Chapter 11:Part 6

Hebrews 11:16-19
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
Here we see the next level of Faith.
We see different kinds of faith in the Bible.
Enoch, Noah, Abraham they all practiced faith differently.
When you say you have faith that means you will be tested.
God will test and the Devil will tempt.
By faith Abraham offered Issac as a sacrifice.
Abraham was asked to sacrifice the son whom he waited for years.
God promised Abraham generations through Isaac but later God asked him to sacrifice Issac.
This is called the Test of Faith.
Imagine being in Abraham’s place.
It must have been so difficult for him to sacrifice his son whom he had waited for so long.
Even though Isaac was the promised son, Abraham was obedient to God.
When you do things depending on your own understanding without consulting God the result will be an Ismail project.
Even if God helps you to adjust to the situation the burden will be too much to handle.
Abraham believed was that even if he sacrificed Issac, God could raise him back to life and extend his generations.
Abraham had already done that sacrifice in his mind but he agreed to do it because God asked.
Abraham saw the last phase of his son’s life, his death or sacrifice but in his head he still believed that he would come back to life!
We may also be in such similar circumstances in our lives, everything might seem over but our part is to have faith in God.
Many a times God’s miracles are last minute miracles.
Lazarus could have been healed when he was sick or raised to life on the first day of his death or the second or even the third.
Sometimes humans’ extremities might be God’s opportunity.
Abraham was ready to obey God but God stopped him.
Some people come up to me and say that they desire to be baptized but their husbands do not agree.
Abraham was willing and lived in faith. He didn’t lose hope.
1 Peter 1:6-9
6 In all this you greatly rejoice,though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
No matter what situation we might be in good or bad we must learn to rejoice.
Faith is not for just a phase of life or till the climax of a situation but till the end of any situation!
God can turn around the tables at an time!
Have Faith and keep going!
