Favour and recognition

Verse: Job 10:12 “You have granted me life and favor, And Your care has preserved my spirit.”
Declaration: God’s favour places me before the right people today, my name is remembered for good.
Favour comes from God, not from human effort.
It is a gift from God, not something that we can earn or get through our connections. When God places His favour upon a person, doors open that no human hand can shut.
Proverbs 3:3,4 “3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you, bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.
Psalm 84:11 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield”, the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”
Regardless of the people in our life, if we have the favour of God, that will be all we need.

When Jesus was getting baptised, the Father spoke out saying that He is pleased with Him. When we accept Jesus, we receive this same acceptance and favour of God.
2. God’s favour brings recognition at the right time.
Favour does not promote us too early or too late. God causes the right people to notice us at the right moment, just as He did with Joseph.
You may experience valley phases, but at the right time God lifts you up.
Genesis 41:14 “14 So Pharaoh sent for Joseph, and he was quickly brought from the dungeon. When he had shaved and changed his clothes, he came before Pharaoh.”
Here Joseph was remembered after his time in prison.
Esther 2:17 “Now the king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his favor and approval more than any of the other virgins.”
Here Esther was given favour over all the other women in the land.
1 Samuel 16:12 “And he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy and had beautiful eyes and was handsome. And the LORD said, “Arise, anoint him, for this is he.”
Here, God selects David.
The changing of times comes suddenly. Favour brings recognition in God’s perfect timing. When you receive God’s favour, people will also show you the same.
3. Favour preserves us in difficult seasons.
Everyone goes through tough patches. It is God’s favour that can preserve us during these times. We are all alive today because of His favour upon us. Favour is not only about promotion, it is also for protection. Even in trials, He sustains our spirit and life.
God was with Joseph and showed him favour.
Genesis 39:21 “the LORD was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.”
Favour doesn’t remove every storm, but it keeps us secure within it.
4. Favour produces testimony and influence.
God’s favour acts as a witness to others that God is with us. They will look at how we have persevered and overcome trials and marvel at God’s hand on our lives.
Recognition is not for pride, but for purpose- to glorify God and bless people.
Daniel 1:9 “Now God had caused the official to show favor and compassion to Daniel”
Acts 2:47 “praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
God says that no one hides a lamp under a bed, but rather shows it light from a height. The same way God lifts us up to show the light of God to many people.
Favour is God’s kindness in action. All that we need to do is trust in God and walk humbly. He gives favour to the humble.
