Worshiping From Experience

Worship in heaven revolves around holiness. There are various levels and groups of choirs that glorify God.

1. The Seraphim Choir. 
The Seraphim Choir is mentioned in Isaiah 6 and Revelation 4.
Isaiah 6:2-3 “. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty;  the whole earth is full of his glory.”

The seraphim worship God by continually singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy.” Their voices resound throughout heaven, creating a vibration that fills the heavenly realm. 

2. The Choir of the Twenty-Four Elders
Revelation 4:9-11 ‘Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever,  the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

When the seraphim worship, the twenty-four elders join in by laying their crowns before God.
The Apostle John, in his spiritual vision, witnessed the unified worship of the seraphim and the elders. 

Revelation 5:9-10 ‘And they sang a new song, saying “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign[a] on the earth.”

3. The Angelic Choir
Revelation 5:11-12 ‘Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

4. The Choir of All Creatures in Heaven, Earth, and Sea
Revelation 5:13 ‘Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”

Understanding the worship of heaven inspires us to worship in spirit and truth.

5. The Choir of the Great Multitude from the Great Tribulation
Revelation 7:9-10,13 ‘After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”

This choir sings from their experience of salvation and deliverance, a song no other group can sing.

Revelation 7:14-17 ‘I answered, “Sir, you know. And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, “they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. ‘Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,’ nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’ ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

We, too, belong to this group of redeemed worshippers. Let us worship God with the revelation of heavenly worship, in spirit and in truth.
