God Will Never Leave You | Hebrews 13 (Part 2)

Hebrews 13:4-6
4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. 5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have,because God has said,
“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”
6 So we say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?
It says marriage must be honoured by all. From the book of Genesis onwards we see the institution of marriage. Generations are the result of marriage.
However people have come up with a lot of amendments to marriages that God never intended.
Unions between a man and a man or a woman and a woman are not what God intended. That is not a marriage. The Bible says honour marriages!
A married person has an honour in the society, for instance if a bachelor and a married couple look for a house to rent in, the house owners first preference would be the marriage couple.
Marriages must be kept pure and honoured. Divorces, live-in relationships, separations are ways of dishonouring a marriage.
After marriage the husband and wife are one and no longer separate individuals.
God has placed great importance on marriage.
If anyone commits adultery after marriage he will be judged.
Today with the influence of social media a number of people are going astray.
The current pandemic has made phones and laptops easily available to very young students and many have become involved in various sinful activities like watching pornography.
1 Corinthians 7:2-5
2 But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. 3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4 The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. 5 Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
Keep your lives free from the love of money. Be content with what you have.
Money is very important, it is important for all activities of life but do not be greedy for money or give more importance to money than God.
The one who loves money more cannot love God.
The more money you have the more people pay attention to you but if you love money you cannot please God.
Therefore be content with what you have because God said he will never leave you nor forsake you.
For there is nothing that man can do to you.
You have no control of your life so why worry about it? But let your confidence be in God's faithfulness.
Always remember that our God is bigger than any problems of this world.
The Lord is your helper!
