Spiritual Blessings

We are looking  more detailed into Spiritual blessings.We should not just make it a routine to just hear the Word of God but we should always put it into practice. Only then will we  have  Spiritual growth and blessings.

3 John 1:1- 3
The elder,
To my dear friend Gaius, whom I love in truth.
2 Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. 3 It gave me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it.

The second verse mentions that he prays for mainly three blessings. It is a fact that all people, especially those faithful to God will have various attacks from evil. Our focus as believers  should be just to pray and receive  all the blessings from God. Never do evil for evil  or with insults instead repay all with blessings  

3 John 1:4
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

Just like our soul or spirit should walk in prosperity, our blessings should also happen in our spirit or soul.
Most people focus on external things or materialistic things but our attention should be to nurture our spirit  and to receive Spiritual blessings.

One example is of a builder working for a home construction company. One day the builder said to his boss that he is not well and will not be taking in any more contracts  for construction. The boss agreed but requested him to do just one more project of a home construction before he leaves. The builder agreed and just took just a few inexpensive materials and just for the sake of completion he did the work and handed the key to the boss. To his surprise the boss  said keep the key the house I told you to make finally was for you.That moment  the builder felt so much regret and remorse, for  if he knew it was for him he would have made a better effort and used the best materials  but instead  he did a quick & shoddy work.The quality of the house was compromised.

Similarly we all should focus and give priority to building our inner spiritual self rather than always  helping others and giving other things of life more importance. It is always  vital for us to build our spirit. Just like Gaius his priority was always right. He focused  on  the Spiritual, then materialistic  and physical blessings. He was always walking in truth.
