The Origin Of Blessings: Part 01

We saw the three basic blessings in human life - earthly blessings, physical blessings and spiritual blessings. But this is our choice. We need to be renewed in our attitudes to live in the fullness of blessings. Majority of the people throughout the world attend fellowships in order to be delivered from their problems, and wouldn’t be found in the church when everything goes well with them. But like the three Hebrew boys who were thrown into the fiery furnace that was seven times hotter than usual, whether or not you have troubles/challenges in life, make it your priority to trust and love God above all. It was their decision to trust God whatever happens that saved them and blessed them.

God is more interested in changing you than your circumstances because you are His beloved. Many people fail to enjoy blessings in life because they pursue the blessings more than the giver of the blessings; but God desires you to seek and love Him with all your heart because He loved you with unconditional love even before you took the form of an embryo in your mother’s womb. While we were still sinners, Christ loved us and He died for us. Just as the Hebrew boys said, whether or not God delivers you from all troubles in life, be committed to your Maker in all seasons of life and until the very end. Do not attach any ‘terms and conditions’ to your relationship with God.
 
There are means to see the underwater wonders through an oceanarium or diving, but there’s no provision developed till date to know what happens in a fiery furnace. However, these three boys got a free ticket for a fiery furnace tour with Jesus, the fourth man even without taking a fire and safety course/ equipment/ jacket. Had they not been delivered, they would be burnt to ashes in a few minutes and it would have been a different story; but God delivered them!

Take a firm decision today: Whether or not God answers my prayers; whether or not things happen the way I desired, I will not turn away from my God. And that would mark the onset of great blessings and miracles in your life. 

What is the origin of God’s blessings?

Genesis 1:21,22 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth."

Here,we see God blessing for the very first time. None of us were there, but in the presence of angels, God blessed the creatures of the sea and the birds in the sky which He created by His word.

God blessed them and said, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.’
 
And it’s upon that Word that the creatures of the sea and the birds in the sky are increasing even today. God spoke blessing over them and the power of His blessing settled in their seeds/ DNA and that led to their reproduction which continues till date. God created birds and animals only once (in the first six days). The multiplication came through the blessing.

Genesis 1:27,28 - So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

The first blessing was upon the creatures of the sea and the birds in the sky. The second blessing of God rested on humans/man and woman. We see two blessings here: 

1. Multiplication: increase and multiply
2. Dominion: subdue and reign

See how the blessings flow from the start. God blessed them to be fruitful and increase in number and He kept no limits. And the entire mankind we see in the world today is the fruit of the blessing He spoke that day. Today, countries are implementing methods to control the world population.

We too can experience multiplication in an exponential way in your life/ministry
and a victorious dominion/ rulership over all your situations/ troubles/ temptations. Jesus won the victory over Satan on the Cross, not for Himself; He is God and is above all, but He took our place and won over Satan, Hell and Death for us.

It is not His victory, but our victory over Satan!

God was never defeated in the first place for Him to triumph over anyone, but He took our place of defeat so that through Christ, we would win, multiply, reign and live not with a victim mentality, but a victor mentality. 

In the parable of the ten minas, a master gave ten minas each to ten of his servants, and later when he was made king he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it. One servant earned ten more, the other five more and one servant kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. 

Luke 19:22-24 “His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow? Why then didn’t you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?’ “Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’

God desires that we multiply whatever gift God has given us, and that too for His glory. If you are talented to sing, you should not be singing at the nightclub but unto God. If you're gifted to preach, proclaim the good news. How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!

Dominion is a blessing. When problems come, stand strong because God is with you and He is still on the throne. You are called to reign in Christ!
