The Last Blessing
Revelation 1:3
Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it,because the time is near.
There is a unique blessing that is shown in this verse. The book of Revelation being a Book of Prophecy hence whoever reads the words of prophecies aloud, comprehends and understands these will be blessed for the time is near.
The two meanings of the time being near is understood as
1.The journey of human life is nearing to an end.
2.The Satan, the one who destroys human peace, will also be put to an end. Satan fears this the most.
This book of Revelation is one book that children of God must love the most.
The sequences of the events that will happen in the second coming of Jesus are beautifully described with all the excitement.
Revelation 19:9
Then the angel said to me,“Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God
The next blessing is mentioned in this part which involves the “Wedding of the Lamb”. This is described as the wedding of Lord Jesus himself.
Now who is the bride of Jesus?
Ephesian 5:24
Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything
The bride of Jesus are the chosen ones, the ones who are purified and those who have obeyed the Lord's teachings, that is, The Body of Christ.
Revelation 20:6
Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years
Third blessings are on those who share in the first resurrection of Christ.
The rows of prioritization for resurrection are already set up so always strive to be among the lot that will get into the first resurrection.
It is mentioned clearly in
Revelation 20:15
Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
The blessings will also be on those who listen to the words of prophecies as the Lord is Coming soon.
Revelation 22:14.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Towards the last part of this book the last blessing is described, namely, blessed are those who wash their robes since they have the right to the gates of the City.
2 Corinthians 7:1
Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God
1 Thessalonian 5:23
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
The blessed are those who sanctify their lives before the Lord's coming.
