Prosper In Every Way

The gospel works in all areas of our life; physical, mental, material, spiritual, personal life, family life, etc.
In Romans 1.16, Paul says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes:”
The gospel is God’s power which brings us to salvation. Lot of people think of salvation as what rescues us from sin. But salvation is not just a narrow escape from our flesh, but it works in every area of our lives.
Only once we understand this, can the gospel work fully and completely in us and bring us to the blessings and glory that God intended for us.
We must know the financial principles written in the Bible to manage the money in our hands after having given God’s part and the tax to the Government. It is only those who handle such money wisely are given prosperity by God.
Acts 13:17 “The God of the people of Israel chose our ancestors; he made the people prosper during their stay in Egypt; with mighty power he led them out of that country.”
Here we see how God gave his people prosperity and abundance even in the midst of suffering and salvery. When we go through the Old Testament, we see that the Israelites prospered even during their stay in Egypt. This was just a shadow for the New Testament promise. Jesus promised to prosper us; that too, in this world, not just in the next!
Mark 10:29,30 (AMP) “Jesus said, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, there is no one who has given up a house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, 30 who will not receive a hundred times as much now in the present age (in this time)—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms—along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.”
To emphasise, Jesus says “in this time!” There is no one else that provides such an interest rate or dividend as the “Bank Of Heaven!” There is a hundred fold growth. However, the blessing also comes along with persecutions. But in the age to come, it brings eternal life.
For those who serve the Lord, we see worldly prosperity promised as well! The first century church also prospered in every way when we look at history.
Acts 4:32-35 32“All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.”
There were no needy people as they were prosperous.
We see 6 things in this passage:
How can we come into a life of financial freedom?
The first step is to give God what is His.
There was a man who had a lot of harvest, he hoarded it and decided to eat it all that year itself. When the next year came, he had no seeds to sow as he ate them all!
God has given us a lot of seeds: our time, money, talents, etc. We should sow these seeds in the field of the gospel. When we reap the harvest of these seeds, we should make sure to sow again and not consume it all!

We see 6 things in this passage:
- The church had great unity: this is something many churches lack nowadays and we must pray for this unity.
- They were not selfish: they had a sharing nature.
- There was a great power upon the apostles
- There were no needy people among them
- There was grace upon them all:
- They had nothing to worry about
