The Wind Of Change

Hebrews 6:10 “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.”
If anyone has done even a small thing for the Kingdom of God, He will not forget it; they will be rewarded. Every prayer has an answer as well; God always remembers each of us. Every situation in our life has some purpose of God in our life; nothing is a mistake as God is in control.
There are many times we go through dry periods where nothing seems to be happening in our lives. But these are all temporary situations. We should never take a permanent decision based on temporary situations. David is an example of a person who was anointed as king at the age of 17 but had to go through many years of tough situations before he actually became King.
We have seen many situations in the Bible where God remembered his people
Genesis 21:1 “Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what he had promised.”
God remembered Sarah and gave her Issac, the first link of many blessed generations.
Genesis 30:22 “Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and enabled her to conceive.”
God gave Joseph to Rachel as a delayed answer to her prayers, who became a great blessing to the nation of Israel.
When God blesses you, it will always be a great blessing and will impact nations.
1 Samuel 1:19 “Early the next morning they arose and worshipped before the LORD and then went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah made love to his wife Hannah, and the LORD remembered her.”
Here, God remembered Hannah, who cried out to God as she was barren. She was blessed with a son, Samuel.
These three women did not have children at the time they wanted, but God blessed them with sons who became great men in the history of the world. We all remember their sons unlike many others . Great blessings sometimes take time!
Lets take a look at Joseph’s life again!
Genesis 40:23 “The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.”
Genesis 40:14 “But when all goes well with you, remember me(A) and show me kindness;(B) mention me to Pharaoh(C) and get me out of this prison.”
When Joseph was put in jail for a crime he did not commit, he was later brought in front of the chief cupbearer who had promised Joseph that he would help Joseph after Joseph had helped him rise to the level he was at then. The cupbearer forgot the one who helped restore him.
In the same way, sometimes the people that we help and pray for, can forget us and our help.
But even in these situations, God always remembers and at the right time and does greater things.
If a human helped Joseph, he would help him return to Potipher’s house to his old job. But God had bigger plans for him.
Genesis 41:9-14 9“Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, “Today I am reminded of my shortcomings. 10 Pharaoh was once angry with his servants, and he imprisoned me and the chief baker in the house of the captain of the guard. 11 Each of us had a dream the same night, and each dream had a meaning of its own. 12 Now a young Hebrew was there with us, a servant of the captain of the guard. We told him our dreams, and he interpreted them for us, giving each man the interpretation of his dream. 13 And things turned out exactly as he interpreted them to us: I was restored to my position, and the other man was impaled.” 14 So Pharaoh sent for Joseph, and he was quickly brought from the dungeon. When he had shaved and changed his clothes, he came before Pharaoh.”
The cup bearer who had forgotten about Joseph earlier, remembered him at the right time.
Every moment of a life that is submitted to God, is orchestrated by God; and he works out everything for their good.
Exodus 2:24-25 24“God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. 25 So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.”
If we ever come into a covenant with God, He will honour it. And whenever God remembers His covenant, the next step is action. Here, he brought up Moses to deliver the Israelites and bring them to the promised land flowing with milk and honey. This was based on the covenant God had made with the Patriarchs starting from Abraham.
In the same way, even if our life has been in a lull, God will remember you and bring you to His promise for your life!
