Sowing And Reaping: Part 2

Gen 8:22 ‘“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat,
summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”’

All the different seasons are required for seedtime and harvest. The growth of a plant greatly depends on the weather and climate. When God created the Earth he made sure to provide all the required seasons.

Ecclesiastes 3:2 ‘a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,’

Acts 17:26 ‘From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.’

Psalms 126:5-6 ‘Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.’

Whenever I come across this verse my mind immediately goes to the paddy fields I visited when I was little. The farmers sowing seeds, the plants ready to be harvested, fields ready to be ploughed etc. 

Let’s come back to the verse above, do you see the principle here? While sowing a farmer is said to be in tears. But when he harvests, he reaps with great joy. What does this mean? 

The time of sowing shows a period of sacrifice, tough times, etc. Many times the farmer might have to take a loan or borrow money to buy seeds. And therefore he is in distress. 
But when the time of reaping comes, a great joy comes upon him. Have you heard the song farmers sing during harvest? Back then when women went out to harvest the fields, they would sing with joy. 

This is the message for you. You might be going through a sowing period now. It might be painful. You might say that nothing good is happening in my life. When a farmer sows, he sows everything he has. He does it with a burdened heart. 
But do not worry! The season is changing. The time for harvest is coming. 
Your eyes might be welled up today. But remember, God can make your eyes sparkle with joy. He can change any situation of yours. Get ready for the harvest.

When you pray, you are sowing. You might be praying with tears day and night. 
Without sowing you can't reap. 

Every seed contains mysterious quotes written by the hand of God. When a farmer sows, does he read what is written on the seeds? No, he sows it by faith. 

God has engraved quotes of prophecy and the future of that plant in every seed. 
Plant one seed today and you will get many seeds in the days to come.
