Sowing And Reaping : Part 6

We are looking closely into the Sowing and Reaping series . We have reached the collection of seeds .
2 Corinthians 9 :10
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness

All people living in this world have this  collection of seeds. It includes any seed, anything can be seed.  When God blesses us with anything it consists of a portion which is a seed. Even if you smile at someone, that smile is a seed so it can  harvest many smiles.

Different types of seeds

1.God's Word is a seed.
We all have a collection  of God's  word which we have gathered by hearing or writing. These are seeds which can be sowed in the hearts of people. The field  is the human heart.
In Mathew chapter  13 it is explained  in more detail .

2.The Sons of his Kingdom or disciplines or believers
Each and everyone who are sons of God's  kingdom or believers are all seeds to be sown.

3.Doing Good or Evil
When we do good or evil acts they become a seed sown and we will reap the same .
Galatians 6:7-10
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

 Seed is the good or evil act and the field is the people either believers or non believers. Apostle Paul emphasizes that a man reaps only what he sows.

Some people sow in flesh and will reap destruction. Those who sow to please the Spirit will reap in eternal life. Let us not be weary in doing good. When the proper time comes we will reap the proper deserving harvest.

Luke 6:31
Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Hebrews 6:10
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

4. Money
Money is a seed .You may wonder how ? The first seed we discussed was God's word and it has to be sown in the fields that are human hearts.  Inorder to spread the Word of God we should sow the finances to  help God's  ministry which is the field . It can be helping the poor or even contributing to God's work.

2 Corinthians 9:6-11
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerfulgiver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;   their righteousness endures forever.”10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

Give not on compulsion but always sow wholeheartedly .

5. Anything given for the kingdom of God.
 Anything that we give for helping God's ministry is also considered a seed. It can be even all sacrifices one has to make to build the kingdom of God.The field is God's ministry.
Mark 10:29-30
Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.

6. The body.
This is referring to the human body being a seed.
1 Corinthians 15: 42-44
So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

 The field is the earth. When our human body dies it perishes when buried.  This body is sown back to dust as perishable  but when the resurrection happens the natural body will rise as a spiritual body which is imperishable .Our body is sown in dishonor but will rise in glory. It is sown in weakness but will rise in power.
When the trumpet calls on the second coming of Jesus all who are dead will rise .

7. Jesus
Jesus is a seed. This seed is from heaven and all that is in heaven is contained in Jesus. He came to destroy Satan's head.

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”

John 7:42
Does not Scripture say that the Messiah will come from David’s descendants and from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?”

Jesus was planted in this world. This seed was sown from heaven to spread his kingdom and to reap God's children  all over the world. When this seed of Jesus was sown it is sown in each and everyone and it lives in each of our hearts so it is our responsibility to sow it and reap the harvest.
