The Applied Word Of God: Part 6

Many people possess different types of Bible, some may have a book and others digital copy but nevertheless nothing will be useful to our lives unless we apply them practically. God's Word is the same; it brings everything to life. It can transform any type of individual  and  save them from continuing in their sinful nature. 

The word of God is really powerful as the author behind each book in the Bible is the Holy Spirit.  We must value it as it is the only book through which God has revealed himself. When Joshua, a leader that led the Israelites to Canaan, God  told him to meditate on the word of God.

Psalms 1:1-6
Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,And in His law he meditates day and night.3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so,
But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Romans 10:8-13
But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved

The word of God is very near.  We should just believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from death and declare with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and we will be saved.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to divide soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart

God's word is a sword. The word of God is alive and active. The Bible is an active book. There are many situations when a page of the Bible has transformed many prisoners in jail through unplanned circumstances of getting hold of a piece of the Bible . The word of God is very powerful.

The Word of God is an imperishable seed. 
1 Peter 1: 23
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
If one bottles up many seeds and leaves it what will happen to the seeds? Unfortunately nothing. The same happened many years ago when Egyptians preserved the dead body in pyramids. They kept many seeds to be sown when the body came back. Those seeds became productive when it was finally sown.

The Word of God is always alive and active no matter how many years it's been. It contains  the written code of God. It has life. If you have a Bible with you or any way you may interact with the Word of God this word will be embedded in you and is active and when you plant it into viable fields of human hearts it will spread and grow.

2 Corinthians 9 :10
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness
 God can act in your life and through you.
