The Applied Word Of God: Part 12
What happens if the word of God is activated in our lives? In daily lives all these have importance and in real life we must experience the power that the word penetrates and has a cutting effect on our hearts .It should control our thoughts .
The word of God is like water .It has a washing or cleansing effect in our lives.It is also as sweet as honey . The word of God can be also seen as fire. It can stir our thoughts,emotional feelings, zeal and enthusiasm.
Today we will start with verse
Jeremiah 23: 29
Is not my word like fire, ”declares the Lord,“ and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?
The Word of God also acts like a hammer.It has a hammer effect where it works just like how a hammer may work in our life . When our hearts are hardened it can be broken to pieces by the power in the word of God. Some people's hearts are harder than rock,it has no love, no politeness but is very harsh . Such hearts can be worked on by the hammer effect that's in the word of God. The word of God acting like sword and hammer produces very marvelous results.
In Hebrews Chapter 11 it says that the creation is done by word of God. The word of God is so capable.
In Acts 9 ,Saul was a person who was totally against the Gospel and his main intention was to kill people who were into worship . He was more like a terrorist so he had very hardened heart but as soon as he heard the voice of God inside calling " Saul!". This immediately broke his heart like a hammer
James 1:23-24
Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like
The word of God is like a mirror. When we read the word we will be able to see ourselves in it. When the holocaust happened. A person who was in captivity for 22 years was released. His health deteriorated and all were in a bad state but he only requested to see himself in a mirror first to see the changes and he wept. A similar situation is with an individual who has not read the word of God, the Bible regularly. They will not be able to recognize the changes or the state of their mind. The shape and situation they are in their life . Anyone in that phase please make sure you read the word of God so you will be able to see yourself . Every page of the Bible is a mirror. How long has it been since you have looked in the mirror? So read the Bible regularly
