Slave and Master
New creation we have become knowing, counting and consecrating. In Romans 6 to Romans 8 Paul is explaining the real picture. God’s anger against man's sins.
Chapter after chapter it's showing the plan of salvation. No one can obey all the commandments. New syllabus based on faith is presented. Romans 3,4,5 explains this. To grow in the new creation there are 3 steps.
Knowing- God did all and finished everything 2000 years ago. Grace is given to triumph over our sins and death. People mask sin through education and all worldly positions. Law cannot conquer the sins.
Romans 6:13
Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness
Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of sin.
You are not under rules but under grace.
Romans 6:14
For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
We get ruler ship over sins due to his grace
Romans 6:16-18
Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness
If we submit ourselves to sin the result is death. If we submit ourselves to obedience it is righteousness.
In Romans 6 it talks about our freedom from sin. In Romans 7 freedom from the law
Romans 8 onwards there is freedom in spirit.Then he explains the relationship between a slave and a master.
Old master is the sin and the old slave is our old creation. New master is Christ and the new slave is our new creation.
These two scenarios explain and give the true positive relationship .
After being saved all our body parts must be used for righteous holiness and for the works of the Lord.
Christ saved us with his own blood. Sin is still living but Master is dead and has resurrected for serving the new master.
