Be Filled With The Holy Spirit

Even after the Spirit comes inside of you, many times we need an infilling of the Holy Spirit. Does that mean that the Holy Spirit leaves you from time to time? No!
The Holy Spirit has been given to you to be with you forever and always. We might run away from the Holy Spirit but he never leaves us. The Holy Spirit is a gift from God.
Acts 2:4 ‘All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.’
Acts 4:8 ‘Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people!’
Acts 4:31 ‘After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.’
In chapter 2 we find the disciples filled with the Holy Spirit. Again in chapter 4 there was another infilling of the Holy Spirit.
Going back to Acts 3, we read about a lame beggar sitting at the temple gate called Beautiful. We are assuming that he is around 40 years old. And all his life he has been begging for alms from the people going into the temple. Peter and John might have seen this man begging many times before when they used to go to the temple courts.
But on that specific day when they were filled with the Holy Spirit, they stopped and spoke to the lame beggar. We all know what happened later, he was healed and jumped up and began to walk. It was a great miracle that no one could deny.
Later on Peter and John were called by the elders and brought before the Sanhedrine and were ordered to never speak or teach in the name of Jesus.
Peter, John and the people prayed loudly to God and quoted a portion from Psalms which was spoken by David.
Acts 4:25-26 “‘Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed one.’
Psalms 2:4 ‘The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.’
In Psalms 2 we find it written that the One enthroned in heaven laughs! What does that mean? Heaven's perspective is different from the earthly perspective.
When we hear of wars, we tremble with fear. But God laughs. No one in heaven or Earth can conspire against God or his children.
He is the God of hosts. When he is with us, who can stand against us? When the Holy Spirit comes inside of us, we become bold.
In Acts 2 we see the men were shaking when the Holy Spirit came on them. But in Acts 4 the whole place was shaken. The move of the Holy Spirit was even stronger.
Acts 4:31 ‘ After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.’
Many of us fear or hesitate to preach the Word of God. We need to have the spiritual boldness and courage.
When the Holy Spirit came -
1. The whole place was shaken.
2. They started preaching the Word of God boldly.
The Holy Spirit is freely given to all.
Ephesians 5:18 ‘Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,’
