“Who is the Holy Spirit?”
Through God's words we are informed about how a believer must lead his or her lives very clearly.
We see in the epistles that
1) We have received forgiveness through Jesus.
2) We have received a new life because Jesus has been raised from the dead.
3) We have received the outpouring of the Holy Spirit as Jesus is seated at the right hand of God.
Through His crucification we receive righteousness, through resurrection there is rebirth, through glorification there is spirit baptism.
Through Jesus we will have the power to defeat the sinful nature and opportunity to be testimonies.
Another blessing that we receive through the Holy Spirit is the sweet fellowship with the Father.
When we receive the Holy Spirit we will see power in our prayers. Prayerless people are powerless people whereas the ones who pray are powerful!
The power of prayer is strong.
Acts 1:4-5
4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
The gift here is the Holy Spirit.
Do you want Power?
You need the Holy Spirit to receive this power and here you receive this for free!
You need not give anything, all you have to do is ask God!
Ask and you will receive.
When the Holy Spirit is on you, you will have power and be his witnesses .
Why will God give you this power? To be testimonies and spread his name.
We cannot please him by living in our sinful nature and please God in the Flesh.
The Holy Spirit is given as a guide to help us to live the way God wants us to!
The Holy Spirit is not just a power but a person!
