Take Responsibility of Your Own Life

We began this week by comprehending how God, who is a limitless personality, can be restricted from functioning in our lives as per His standards because of our limited thoughts/ beliefs. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7). A man’s life is the sum total of his dominant thoughts. Our dominant thoughts give direction to our lives.
It's often a human tendency where people take the ‘escapism’ route by blaming others for their own life situations. But the truth is that our lives won't get any better unless we take responsibility for our own lives. Rather than imposing blames on others, find ways and act upon it to climb higher in life.
We should not limit God. David was a rejected boy in his family, no words of encouragement from his own parents/ siblings; but God’s call and anointing upon his life made him the King of Israel. It is time for you to knock down the Goliath that stands tall as a hindrance from progressing in your life. A live dog is better than a dead lion.
Psalm 18:29 For by You I can run against a troop, by my God I can leap over a wall.
Do not emphasise on your will-power/ self-confidence; instead Rise Up trusting and putting your confidence on the strength of God.
DO NOT LIMIT GOD BY YOUR LIMITS
Yesterday we learnt not to do anything based on our own will-power, but on God’s abilities; with examples from Simon Peter’s, Moses’ and Paul’s life. Jesus laid the best example for us in the garden of Gethsemane, where he was in the most crucial moment of his life and was tempted to withdraw from what he was about to face and yet, he prayed, ‘not as I will, but as You will’.
Think Break: How far would a car go without fuel in it?
All religions in this world demand to use man’s will power to do good in order to please God. But the Word encourages us to rely on God and to be led by the Holy Spirit, instead of our own willpower.
Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
When God’s zoe life flows into us, from that abundant life will come forth holiness, righteousness, ministry and good deeds and we’ll never fail; because it’s not our willpower, but God’s power that is at work in us. Hallelujah!!
