Consequences of Sexual Sins
The Bible clearly states that God created us male and female. There is no other gender in between.
In many countries, textbooks are not allowed to describe a person as male or female till a certain age. And it is the decision of the children whether they want to be a boy or a girl. These are the works of the devil.
Millions of people are deceived today. It is said that men sin with their eyes and women with their ears. Many men are addicted to the lustful things of the world (pornography etc.). There is a seducing spirit that leads them astray. In Greek the term for seducing spirit is ‘planos’.
1 Timothy 4:1 ‘The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.’
The word porn comes from the Greek word ‘porne’ which means prostitute. The word ‘graphy’ means ‘to write’; pornography :lustful pictures.
Such addictions hijack the brain and change both the brain structure and functions. Once such videos are stored in your brain, it becomes dangerous. It is your eyes that watch but the information is transported to your brain within 13 milliseconds. The image is captured and stored in the hard disc that is your brain. It is very difficult to come out of it as the divine order created by God is totally damaged.
Even if you make the decision to never watch it again, the images and videos stored in your brain are such that when you sit idle or at certain other times it gets replayed in your mind. It will turn people into commodities that can be used.
Only the Holy Spirit can help you forget everything. He can cleanse your mind and free you from such filth by deleting all these pictures from your brain. Such people must make firm decisions not to touch or see such things that leads them to such lustful thoughts and ask the Holy Spirit to delete these images stored in their brain/mind and make them completely free.
We should understand that such addictions can never make you happy because it is against the Word of God. True satisfaction can be attained only by getting into the covenant relation that God has set for you.
When you are thirsty you drink a glass of water and then you don’t need to drink till at least 3 hours. That means the water has quenched your thirst. But in the case of pornographic addictions, it never satisfies you. That is why a person watches for long hours at a stretch. He watches it again and again because he is not satisfied. A vacuum is created inside and the spirit of harlotry, spirit of uncleanness, spirit of sexual perversion, idolatry, homosexuality, masturbation, bestiality, fantasy etc. resides in him.
Jesus is the only one who can save. No science, or medicine can set you free. When Jesus sees a person tormented by the devil, his heart aches and He longs to set us free.
Consequences of such actions:
1. It will have an effect on your generations; What you sow you shall reap.
2. Emotional disturbances.
3. Guilt, condemnation and shame.
4. Demonization: evil spirits enter
5. Ungodly soul-ties: loss of sexual purity, holiness, innocence, chastity
We must protect our eye gate.
Matthew 6:22-23 ‘The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!’
God asks us to take care of our eyes. Do not let it wander if it takes us away from God. If a man looks at a woman lustfully and not as a sister, mother, daughter …., then that man must cut off that look immediately. The same is true of a woman also.
Job in his old age said in Job 31.1, “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman”.
We must willfully decide to put to death the misdeeds of our body. We must bring our body to control.
1 Cor 15:31 ‘I face death every day—yes, just as surely as I boast about you in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
Romans 8:13 ‘For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.’
Colossians 3.5 “Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.”
This is good news for all of us. We can live a life that is pure and free from such addictions with the help of the Holy Spirit that has been given to us freely.
