Jesus Is The Last Word

2 Corinthians 9:14
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift
God has blessed us in so many ways. We can live our life out of thankfulness to Him. Jesus knew that He would be with His disciples only for a short time, still He asked them to follow Him; this meant that they were called to follow Jesus all their lives and not just for the time that He was with them. A disciple is one who goes through a disciplining process, living a different life from what they lived before.
John the Baptist was sent to prepare the way for the Lord. Not a physical paved road, but a highway in people’s hearts through the strong message of repentance which would be receptive to the one who was coming. He always said that the one to follow is greater than himself. In Luke 3:8-9, John the Baptist strongly spoke to the people: “Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. The axe is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”
He introduced people to Jesus as the promised one.
John 1:29-31
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’ I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptising with water was that he might be revealed to Israel.”
When Jesus was calling disciples, even John’s followers began to follow Jesus. John’s disciples had lived a holy life of fasting and prayer.
John Himself said in John 3:30 “He must become greater; I must become less.”. John did not do any miracles but He lived his life to set the scene for Jesus to come.
Has Jesus done anything in your life or given you even a single blessing? If Jesus has blessed you, don’t go back to living the same way you did before that. Jesus asks us to follow Him! He is the greatest teacher who will never leave us. Unlike human teachers, Jesus has no limits and He is eternal.
Those who follow Jesus will never lose Him; not in this life nor after physical death. Jesus is the last stop/last point in life, there is no search after Him. No other philosophy or ideology can save you; rather follow Jesus. He is the topmost of the indescribable gifts that the father has given us. He is the last harbour and the answer to life’s search. He is the answer to peace, abundance, and life itself. There are many who live a life of regret that they have not achieved anything. But if you have found Jesus and received Him, you are the biggest achiever!
As Paul testifies in Philippians 3:7-8, But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ
Testimony:
Smitha had great stomach and back pain and did a CT scan discovering that she had a big tumour in her ovary for which she might have to remove her uterus as it could be cancer. She did not have kids and this pained her and the doctor greatly. She came to Blessing Today Church and met Pastor who prayed for her and gave her the assurance that Jesus would heal her. She had a surgery done and they removed one ovary. This was given for biopsy and the result came that it wasn’t cancer.
If you are a child of God, He will take care of you and provide! It says in Romans 8:17, Now if we are children, then we are heirs —heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ,
John 1:12
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God
As children of God we can claim our inheritance.
Exodus 23:25
Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you
