Prisoners of Hope
Let me start off with some good news for you - You have a beacon of hope.
Even when all else fails and you don’t know what is going to happen next or don’t have a way out of your situation. You need not worry when your family or friends leave you or even when you are covered with debts.
You have a Father in heaven who sees all things. You will come out of your situation victorious with him by your side.
We are His children and God does not show partiality. He does not hide his face from his children. God loves us no matter where we are, what our background or qualifications are. His love knows no bounds.
Our God has a big heart.
Zechariah 9:12
“Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.”
Let's look at the backstory of the above verse. The Israelites lived as captives for 70 years in Babylon because they went against God. Many have lived and died in those 70 years. They lost their land and home and they are struggling in the land of Babylon. It is during this time Zechariah calls the Israelites as prisoners of hope. He tells them to go back to their fortress. God did not hide his face from the Israelites forever. He still loved them.
He is a forgiving Father and always ready to come to our aid.
Let’s hear the testimony of Santhosh, a man who came to know the Lord 13 years ago and how God transformed him to the person he now is. God can change any situation.
Santhosh, hailing from Koratty shares his story from 13 years ago. His occupation was gardening and he was in a lot of debt. He was in a broken state and did not know what to do next. A few days later he came across Ps. Damien’s message on Surya TV and that really inspired him. The very next Sunday he came to the Blessing Centre in Cochin. Santhosh claims that even though he came with brokenness inside, the spiritual atmosphere in church during the worship completely changed him. From then onwards his life changed completely. God blessed him with many contract works and he was able to clear all his debts. Added to his mountain of blessings, he was also able to buy a beautiful house and a four-wheeler for his family without taking loans from the bank. Hallelujah! Praise God!
Summary
There is nothing impossible for God. He can bless you materially as well as spiritually. Our God cares. He is mindful about everything. And when God blesses his children he blesses beyond human understanding.
