Your King Comes To Deliver You

The children of God don’t have the permission to be depressed or disappointed, because we are prisoners of hope. Even in the most hopeless situations and trials, if you are a person that turns to God and has a connection with Christ, you will overcome.
A child of God should always do things with justice and commitment, sometimes even performing more than others, keeping with the character of Christ. God protects you so dearly as the apple of His eye; He will never turn Himself from you. Stand with integrity in your works, and God will promote you in His time.
Promotion comes from the Lord; no man can stop it.
Psalm 75:6-7
No one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt themselves. It is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.
Zechariah 9:12
Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you
To know what Prophet Zechariah meant by verse, we must read the verses preceding it.
Zechariah 9:9-13
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey. I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim And the horse from Jerusalem; The battle bow shall be cut off. He shall speak peace to the nations; His dominion shall be from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth.’ “As for you also, Because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you. I will bend Judah as I bend my bow and fill it with Ephraim. I will rouse your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and make you like a warrior’s sword.
This passage shadows the coming of Jesus. It talks about His humble entrance to redeem the world. On what we call Palm Sunday, Jesus enters in a triumphant entry for the festival celebrations on a donkey’s back, just a week before the crucifixion. This passage is a prophetic example of what was to come. Jesus will reign over the earth.
The passage then talks about what will follow. The freedom and deliverance that comes along with the covenant leads the ‘prisoners of hope’ to restoration. In ancient times, kings rode donkeys and soldiers rode horses.
Jesus was crucified that we may be freed and delivered from our bondages. He came to restore us and give us abundant life; both in this life and in the life to come. If we believe in Jesus, we are meant to be delivered from all bondages and live a life of hope and victory on earth itself. Many believers live a hopeless life on earth thinking that it is only in heaven they will have peace.
Jesus said in Mark 10:30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.
Those who follow Jesus will have persecutions and hundred fold blessings.
