Prisoners of Hopelessness

We read in Joel 2:26 where God says; “never again will my people be shamed”.
You can be courageous if your hope is in the Lord, for you will not be put to shame.

Psalm 31:24
Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.

God will change your circumstances when you take steps of faith knowing God’s calling for you. He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you.

Psalm 14:7
Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD brings back the captivity of His people, Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.

People may insult you for your faith in God, but remember that God is watching over you and He is a God of action. God challenges the world in Isaiah 43:13 where He says “When I act, who can reverse it?”
 Are you ready to experience what God is about to do in your life? We must throw away all the unbelief, depression etc that hinders us from receiving from God; instead we must fill ourselves with thoughts of hope. Our mind is a thought factory and therefore we need to guard our mind by thinking godly thoughts. 

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

We must ground our lives on thoughts of hope.

History tells us that Abraham was from a well off family and lived in Ur of the Chaldeans which was the largest city in the world at that time and no other city in Mesopotamia had such a beautiful and comfortable housing. Abraham was well established when God told him to leave his home and city; and he lived in tents for the rest of his life. Yet God blessed him in everything.
Hebrews 11:9 By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.

God who called you is faithful and though He may take us through different seasons in life where things may not happen as per our thoughts and plans; we must not complain and grumble like how the Israelites did. God is a God of times and seasons. He will surely lead us to the bright future prepared for each of His beloved children in accordance with His thoughts and dreams. 

God’s hope based on God’s promises and past experiences navigates a person. 

Prisoners of Hopelessness 

1. The devil and his angel

2 Peter 2:4
For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgement;

Angels were created before humans and unlike humans, they have no redemption. Even if they repent, they cannot be redeemed.

2. People who died without serving God. People who denied the free gift of salvation and chose to cling to religion.
3. People who live now without knowing the Savior. They're haunted by depression, addictions, negative thoughts, etc and have no hope. But God is calling such people to hope. 

Prisoners of Hope

1. People who died in the Lord.
2. People who are being saved today.
3. People who will be saved in the future.
