No Mountain Shall Stand Before Me
It’s God’s principle that what we say will happen in our lives. God’s children must speak words of hope which will bring change to our situations.
Psalm 107:2
Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story- those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,
The children of God must tell their story!
We learned in the last days that no man will stand against us in my lifetime and secondly no weapon shall prevail over us and no words spoken over us will overcome us. We must live with this conviction and speak it and move forward. Thirdly, no tongue shall cause any damage to us. We must not allow the cruel negative words of people to destroy us. We must not believe it, instead we must have an attitude to refute it.
Fourthly, No works of the devil shall destroy us.
Many of us fear the devil and his works but we should be confident in our authority in Christ. No mountain shall stand before me. Many of us have the fear of obstacles. We don’t know how to overcome them. We need God’s grace to break barriers.
We must speak and believe that no mountain can stand before us.
Mark 11:23
“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”
“this mountain” denotes a specific mountain.
Matthew 17:20
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Jesus was standing before “Mount Tabor” where he was transfigured when He spoke these words. When we read these two verses, we understand that there were two obstacles in front of Him; one was the mountain which was high up and the other was the sea which was deep (Sea of Galilee). When He says that the mountain should throw itself into the sea. The high mountain falls into the sea and it becomes level ground. It means that both the height and the depth of the mountain disappears.
Mountains that you see today will become platforms for you to walk in the days to come. Jesus did not actually remove the physical mountain. Then what did He mean by these words ?
He meant that if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can overcome any mountain like obstacle in life.
For a child of God, no obstacle is a challenge. God gives us the grace to overcome them and make a mountain into a level ground. We just need our mustard seed faith to overcome a huge mountain. Our mountain can be a huge debt, sickness etc.
We know how David, who was like a small mustard seed defeated Goliath (mountain) using this same principle. We might seem tiny and small in front of a huge problem but by faith we must know that when God is with us, nothing is too difficult!
We see similar situations in that Nebuchadnezzar was a King, but when he put the three Jewish boys in the fire, the young boys won with their faith! Daniel won against the fierce lions with his faith!
Zechariah 4:6-7
So he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: `Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty. “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it! ’”Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”
Even Zerubbabel overcame his obstacles in building the temple of God. Any unfinished task of ours can be completed when we have faith in God and speak to your mountains to be removed.

- Mustard seed size faith is small in size
- It is a solid faith. A small mustard seed is not hollow but solid which also denotes faith in its sincerity .i.e. faith that is not mixed with doubt/unbelief.
- Mustard seed faith is a living faith. Dead faith has no works. A living faith has works.
- It is a growing faith just as the life contained in the mustard seed will grow. Our faith can grow .i.e. it can increase. Luke 17:5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”
- This faith is a challenging faith- it can grow even in poisonous water. It can survive in tough situations and adversities.
