Rise Up From Ashes

We have been looking into Isaiah chapter 61. Today, we will look into Isaiah 61:3 in detail.
Isaiah 61:3
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour.
This is a very strong prophecy of prophet Isaiah that even if you may be experiencing strong grief or sorrow you will be crowned with beauty instead of ashes. This can be any kind of sadness or depression a person may be going through. Always remember this situation will not be permanent but will change soon .
In the old times there was a Jewish custom when one person is facing deep sorrow or loss they tend to cover themselves in ashes or sit in ashes. At times they even tore their outer garments. These actions always express the sad phase in their life. They expressed their lamentation or grief in such a way. In some European cultures people wear a black coat to show that they are mourning or lamenting.
Let's look into another scripture portion
Job 2:8
Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes.
This also goes further to say if your lives are destroyed either health, finances, relationship etc always accept what prophet Isaiah is saying. Never wear the ashes but you will be crowned in glory.
We just have to accept that it will be fulfilled in your life.
Similarly, if you feel your dreams are becoming a handful of ashes remember we will be crowned with Glory instead of ashes. Crowns are usually worn by kings or queens. It often symbolises authority, joy, beauty, strength, honour and respect. So what we need to do is apply this prophecy to your life. In any situation where you feel as a failure, always remember God can change the circumstances in our life.
Always ask guidance from the Holy Spirit to guide and enable you to understand the scriptures. When you look at a heap of ashes just dust it off. Christ is asking us to do an exchange with Him. He will take our sorrow, in other words our ashes and will crown us with beauty. All misfortunes and tragedies will be wiped away and all honour will be given to Christ the King.
