Sorrow Shall Turn Into Celebration
God can turn your sorrows into joy. He can change any and every situation that is holding you down. All we need is to have faith in him. When Jesus starts working inside of you, He changes your entire life; there is a joy that shines on your face and your feet start dancing.
Esther 9:22
‘as the time when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into a day of celebration. He wrote them to observe the days as days of feasting and joy and giving presents of food to one another and gifts to the poor.’
We have read the book of Esther many times and we know the Jews were having a difficult time. Mordecai was Esther’s uncle and he looked after her. Esther was chosen by the king and she had the opportunity to help her people.
Esther fasted for 3 days and went unto the king and pleaded with him for her people, the Jews. She knew that she was taking a risk but nevertheless she stood for her people. Mordecai reminded her that - “God had raised her for such a time as this”
Esther was able to change the verdict that the king had released. Hallelujah!
Believe this - whatever the doctors have said against you, whatever the judge has proclaimed against you, you can change that. You can come out victorious with your God beside you.
Because Esther stood for her people, God honoured her.
Year after year there might be days when you are reminded of things of the past that hurt you. God is mighty to change that. He can turn your mourning into dancing. He doesn't want you to remain in your bubble of sadness. He wants you to emerge victorious.
Psalm 45:7
‘You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.’
