Eaters & Sowers
A man once said, the Bible is God in print. It's God’s thoughts, words, attitudes, likes and dislikes. Not just reading the Word, but meditating on it is very important to understand God’s will.
You can be a great blessing to others. Joseph is an excellent example. His family hated him, he was sold and even imprisoned, a young boy who did not even have an extra set of clothes. He was falsely accused but in time God raised him up to a position where he was in charge of the Egyptian kingdom treasures.
If you are willing to be a channel of blessing, God will definitely use you.
1 Corinthians 11:23
‘For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you:’
We need to receive from God and release to others.
2 Corinthians 9:10-11
‘Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.’
There are two important things mentioned in the verse above, our God -
There are two kinds of people on Earth - Eaters and sowers.
Who are eaters? They spend everything on themselves. They consume everything. They do not care about others. They use their resources to satisfy their own needs. They fail to store up for the future.
Sowers on the other hand set aside their income. They don’t exhaust their resources. They use only what is necessary. They will also start giving out to others.
Which category do you belong to? Are you a sower or eater?
You need to change your lifestyle.
Whatever your income is, you need to keep one part for the future and one part for God. This is how you become a sower.
It is always a good practice to write down your expenses daily and keep track of it.
