Be A God Chaser

We should be a God chaser and not chase prosperity or money. Those who chase money end up in destruction without God in their lives. They will leave the money behind when they die. Money is an enemy of God. Jesus said in Matthew 6.24-26, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
Money is a competitor to God. The devil is never a match for God. The devil has no power against God. Every person living in the world has needs and we need money to fulfill our needs but it should not be our aim in life. Our search must be for God, who is more than enough. He is the source of all things and with Him we receive everything else too.
Christ is not the opposite of the devil and vice versa. The devil is overpowered by the name of Jesus. We are deceived when we chase money instead of chasing the source of the money, which is God.
James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
People perish because they pursue money in the wrong way. Money pursued people who followed God rightly.
Our God, who is our Heavenly Father, knows our needs and will act for us. Our God is a God of additions, multiplications etc. But the devil is a character who brings subtractions, divisions etc. Famine, recessions, poverty etc are brought by the devil. These come when people disobey God. However, God is not behind it.
In the midst of an ordinary need, God adds to it but when there is an extraordinary need, God multiplies. This is what we are taught in the multiplication of bread and fish by Jesus. In the situation where they faced an extraordinary need of feeding 5000 men and their families; Jesus supernaturally multiplied five small loaves and two small fish and there were twelve baskets left over.
Matthew 14:13-21
13 When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns.
Jesus had just heard the martyrdom of His cousin John the Baptist and was grieving over it privately. But the crowds who were tracking his moves, followed him.
14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
Jesus very compassionately healed all those who brought in their sick.
15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.” 16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
It was impossible for the disciples to feed such a big crowd. What Jesus had asked was not possible for them.
17 “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. 18 “Bring them here to me,” he said. 19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
This was an amazing quantity miracle. As people were watching, the disciples supplied five bread and two small fish to them, there was an increase. From this, we can understand that God can do beyond what any human can do. He cares for us and provides for our needs. There are many spiritual and life principles we can learn and apply in our lives.
