Do Your Part
Who is in control?
The whole world is under the control of the evil one. The religious settings, financial settings, traditional settings, civilization, education, entertainment industry, sports, internet and so on, we can see the control of the enemy. The Word says that the world is under the enemy and so are those who are against God. They are not in God’s control.
People point to the fact that there are murders, robberies, and tortures in the world. Why doesn’t God stop it or prevent it? Why do natural disasters happen? Where is God in all this? The Word clearly says that the world is under the bondage of the evil one. To deliver us from this bondage, Jesus died on the cross out of His love for sinful mankind. Jesus has not and does not give any kind of sickness to anyone, rather He healed all kinds of sickness. God is good.
All governing bodies are under the influence of the evil forces. So we shouldn’t blame God saying God did these things or brought them about. Does God bring wars and sickness? Absolutely not. God is good and we receive from His goodness. There are certain things in our life that we must correct. We shouldn’t blame God for that.
E.g. Jesus died on the cross for us. He has done His part. He has prepared all things for us. We have to believe and receive it. That is our part.
Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God
We have been saved by grace through faith. We are not saved by our charity or good works. It is a gift of God. Salvation is a gift from God. If you work for something and earn it, it's your wages for the job done. The wages of sin is death.
We are saved by grace through faith. It is not our work but a free gift from God. Grace is from God but we receive it through faith. There is God’s part and man’s part. Divine part and human part. God is perfect. There is no imperfection in Him. Our part is to believe. Jesus did everything 2000 years ago. We only have to believe. We must do our part. It is very simple. We don’t have to die on the cross or work. Freely we have received salvation. We just have to believe and receive it and enjoy eternal life. But people are often misled here. They say God decides everything, God controls everything. That is not so.
The world is under the influence of the enemy. However we have the ability to decide. God has given us free will and we can decide whether to choose God or the devil, life or death, blessings or curses. It's our choice. Heaven or hell. We can choose. We choose, not God. God has prepared New Jerusalem for us. All we have to do is believe and receive. Hell is made for Satan and his angels, not humans. But one who follows the enemy falls there. God doesn’t want any person to go to hell. If God had to send people to hell, He didn’t need to come to this earth and live amongst men and suffer and die for man. He paid a huge price so that no one may be lost.
Everything is ready but do your part. What we have to do, we must do. Grace is God’s part, faith is our part. Be a believer. Do not complain, but instead believe in God and submit to His authority, then God will never leave us.
