Cast Out The Spirit Of Fear
God is faithful. His love has brought us this far.
1 Corinthians 1:9 states, "God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord."
John the Apostle speaks about the profound depths of God's love. He refers to us as His children and emphasises that He has lavished His love upon us.
1 John 3:1 says, "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him."
In Luke 15, we read the parable of the prodigal son. This parable illustrates the Father's boundless love for His child. The Father's love surrounds us, and regardless of your circumstances, His love is more than sufficient for you. His love is the solution to humanity's problems. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.
2 Timothy 1:7 reads, "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline."
Paul wrote this verse to Timothy while he was in prison. At that time, Timothy was in Ephesus facing numerous challenges, with people opposing the children of God.
God has not given us a spirit of fear!
Fear is a spirit. When fear infiltrates your mind, you lose control of your body. That is when people experience anxiety and panic attacks, etc. To combat the spirit of fear, God has granted us the spirit of strength, power, and love—the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a potent force and a powerful spirit.
Acts 2:3-4 describes, "They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them."
When the Holy Spirit descends upon you, you will be transformed.
Acts 4:13 states, "When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus."
The Holy Spirit possesses three primary characteristics:
1 John 4:18 declares, "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."
There is torment in the spirit of fear. When the root of fear is expelled from you, peace envelops you upon the arrival of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:15
"The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry, 'Abba, Father.'"
Do you recognize the truth that you are a child of Christ? You need to hold on to that conviction within you. Understanding God's love is sufficient to dispel the spirit of fear.
