Worship Releases Deliverance & Freedom
1. When we read the book of Exodus, we see that worshiping God brings forth His blessings.
Exodus 23:25 ‘Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you’
Deuteronomy 11:13-15 ‘So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul— then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil. I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied.’
2. Worship draws the lost to Jesus.
3. The saved are sent to reach the lost.
4. Worship deepens our understanding of who Jesus truly is.
5. Those who worship the Lord receive His divine guidance.
Acts 13:1-3 ‘ Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.’
6. Worship brings deliverance and freedom.
Psalms 50:14-15 ‘Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High, and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
In many of our church services, people walk in carrying burdens—worries about their jobs, future, family struggles, debts, and even thoughts of despair. Some arrive feeling hopeless, but as the worship begins, their burdens are lifted. They experience joy, dancing, and praise, finding renewed purpose in life.
Worship is a movement of liberation. Whenever you have a moment in your day, take time to praise God. Worship touches His heart.
Acts 16:25-27 ‘About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped.
But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household.’
In these verses, we see two men who refused to let their circumstances limit their worship. Do not allow your situation to hinder your praise. Songs sung under the anointing of God have the power to shake the very foundations of the earth.
Summary
Worship is a powerful act that invites God's blessings and freedom into our lives. No matter the burdens we carry, worship brings us closer to Him. Even in the darkest situations, praising God can break chains and transform lives. Keep worshiping—your praise has the power to move mountains!
