Living Hope and Long Life
Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
The reason for our hope is the realization that God is with us. The bringer of hope is a person and so Jesus is our hope. Because He lives, we too can live, and we can face our tomorrows.
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Faith, hope, love.
Hope is one of the eternal riches.
1 Thessalonians 1:3
We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
If there is faith, there will be works of faith.
As a work of faith, Abraham was willing to give up Isaac. When God told him to leave his father’s house, he obeyed and set out on the journey of faith.
Endurance is the ability to hold on unswervingly in times of trouble. This is driven by hope.
Little hope, little life. No hope, no life. Great hope, great life.
Living hope gives you everlasting life.
1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
We have been born again into this living hope. The reason for this hope is the empty tomb. As Jesus rose from the dead, so will we.
