God Will Provide Through Others
We saw that God provides for our needs through His own and our own hands. Today, let’s ponder on how God provides through people and partnerships. Divine supply often comes through human channels. Although God is the source, people are often the vessels through which He releases His supply. In His sovereignty, He chooses to use relationships, connections and partnerships to deliver provision, promotion and destiny breakthroughs.
You can claim to love God and isolate from people He wants to use to bless you. Although it is more blessed to give than to receive, there is power in receiving. Salvation is a gift and you have to freely receive it; yet some are adamant that they’ll live in holiness and do good deeds in order to go to heaven - by doing so, they miss the Way to Heaven. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Every destiny includes divine relationships. We need a lot of help from others and therefore, God uses people as His instruments of provision. When God wants to bless you, He often introduces a person. When the enemy wants to block you, he often sends the wrong person. If you observe your own life, you’ll notice that many blessings in your life are hindered after becoming friends with certain people. Wrong relationships will block blessings. Discernment is vital. Some relationships are assignments, whereas some are distractions. While some business relationships bring blessings, some business relationships destroy everything.
Ecclesiastes 4:9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor
Provision increases through partnership and collaboration. No one prospers in isolation. Even Jesus had 12 disciples, among which Peter, James and John were the inner core of Jesus. Jesus had ministry partners and some among them were women.
Elijah was one of the greatest and powerful prophet in human history. Yet, he was sent to the widow at Zarephath and that too, in the midst of famine . God’s supply comes through unlikely hands.
Here are some instances:
1. Elijah and the Widow at Zarephath
1 Kings 17:9 “Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.”
God’s ways are always mysterious. Her obedience released multiplication. God can use the least likely person to meet your greatest need. So, never despise the hands that God chooses.
2. Joseph and his brothers
Sometimes, your supply comes from a person in authority.

Genesis 45:7 But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
Sometimes, God will position someone in influence for your sake. Otherwise, God can seat you in a position of influence to be a blessing for others. God can work either way in your life.
3. Elisha and the Shunammite woman
2 Kings 4:10 Let’s make a small room on the roof and put in it a bed and a table, a chair and a lamp for him. Then he can stay there whenever he comes to us.”
When you partner with God’s servants, you position yourself for supernatural supply.
4. David and Jonathan
David had a covenant partnership with Jonathan. The promise, the anointing and the call to be a king was upon David, but he was going through a miserable phase in life and it was through Jonathan that David was sustained and strengthened in his waiting season. We all have a waiting season.
1 Samuel 20:42 Jonathan said to David, “Go in peace, for we have sworn friendship with each other in the name of the Lord, saying, ‘The Lord is witness between you and me, and between your descendants and my descendants forever.’ ” Then David left, and Jonathan went back to the town.
5. Although Apostle Paul worked for his living as a tentmaker (Acts 18:3, Acts 20:34), he had ministry partners who sent him aid when he was in need. (Philippians 4:16)
Every divine vision requires divine partners. Partnership turns calling into continuity.
When the 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish of the little boy reached Jesus’ hands through Andrew, it became a blessing unto thousands and the miracle recorded that day was not of healings, but of a little boy’s tiffin that fed thousands. When you bring your little into God’s hands, He multiplies it through people.
