God Will Provide Through Promises
God Will Provide Through Promises
God Will Provide Through Promises
In the last episodes we saw four ways of how God provides for us: nature, our work, through others, and through supernatural miracles.
Today, we look at His promises. He provides through His Word.
The Word of God is the warehouse of His divine supply.
Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'”
We need to live by God’s Word, not just by food. His Word is not just information, it is provision in spoken form.
Whenever God speaks, He releases potential, power, and provision. It is the seed of every supply that you will ever need. You don’t need to chase blessings when you can stand upon His blessings.
Luke 1:37 “For no word from God will ever fail.”
The same Word that created the universe still sustains it.
Hebrews 1:3 “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.”
Psalm 33:6 “By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.”
Whatever you lack today already exists in the spoken realm.
Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”
Whatever we need comes from the unseen realm; what works there is God’s Word. When you stand on His Word, you call forth the supply from the unseen realm to the seen realm.
Luke 5:4 “When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”
When Simon Peter was fishing and could not catch any fish, Jesus spoke to him. Jesus did not fish with him, He just spoke the Word.
Luke 5:5-6 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”
When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.
With Jesus’ Word they caught a net breaking, boat sinking amount of fish!
Even in a barren situation, God’s Word can bring forth abundance. Simon Peter now left everything and followed Jesus.
God’s provision is always attached to an instruction. Sometimes we don’t see abundance in our lives because we don’t obey God. If you can hear and obey God Word, your empty nets will overflow.
When you obey divine instruction, what failed before will start to work. This is what happened to Peter!
A few episodes back, we saw how oil multiplied in the widow’s house at the Word of a prophet.
2 Kings 4:3 “Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbours for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few.”
God’s supply is never limited- only our jars are limited!
When this widow believed the word, she obeyed, and her oil multiplied supernaturally. The instruction was very simple, but it unlocked abundance through her obedience.
If you can obey God’s Word, he can provide through it.
Miracles flow through the obedience of faith, not through visible sources. Your miracle stops where your obedience stops. Keep acting on His Word!
Once there was a contractor who was cheated out of a lot of money and was in debt. He received the following verse as promise:
Psalm 37:25 “I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.”
He stuck it around his office. Soon, he started getting many works and his business revived. That verse became his pay check.
Every promise in the Bible is a pay check; to encash it we need to claim it and obey it.
