Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
God gives us gifts daily, both personally and generally, but many times we don’t value or we tend to misuse the gifts He has given us. God has given indescribable gifts to everyone irrespective of gender, qualifications, colour, race etc. of which the most important and the first one is “JESUS” Himself.
It is up to us to receive Jesus as our Saviour and get everything along with it.
“Get Jesus, Get Everything” is a slogan of our church.
Matthew 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Romans 8:32
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
What is the value of Jesus?
In both Old and New Testaments it is written that Jesus is the only begotten Son. He is the only Son of God, the Father. He has no other son and this son was sacrificed for us which explains how valuable is the gift that the Heavenly Father has given us. This is the reason why we must value this precious and indescribable gift in our lives. It will grieve the Father if we don’t value or misuse this gift. We must value Jesus more than anything else; more than our spouse, children etc.
Salvation and eternal life is the second most important gift given to us by the Father.
Romans 6:23 says, ‘For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
There is life and eternal life. The physical body has life, but “Eternal life” takes place in a person’s spirit. When a person dies, their physical being withers away, but not their spirit. Our physical bodies are the address of our spirit. We are spirits, having a soul and living in a body. When we die, our spirit comes out of our body.
The destiny of our life depends on whether we have received Jesus as our Saviour and it will be revealed at our death. Eternal life resides within Christ and it is a gift. A gift is free and there is no price attached. And the gift of God is eternal life and in Christ Jesus. So, if you want eternal life, you should seek, find, repent and accept Jesus as your Saviour. Eternal life resides in a name and on a person - which is Jesus.
John 10:27-28 says, ‘My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.’ If you believe in God, never worry for you will never be stolen by the enemy. If you hold close to our God, listen to him and follow him, you will never perish and will enjoy eternal life.
A person who has received Jesus will never perish.
Hebrews 13:5
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
Our God will not leave us nor will He allow anyone to take us away from Him. It is our unbelief or doubts that makes us think that God has left us or that we will go to hell. Only a person who has not accepted Jesus will go to hell. Eternal life is given to all who follow Jesus. We have eternal life insurance.
