TITLE: ALIGN YOURSELF WITH THE WILL OF GOD
FOCUS WORD: DESTINY ALIGNMENT
FOCUS VERSE: Amos 3: 3 - Can two walk together unless they are agreed?
DECLARATION: I align with God’s plan and the right people; destiny flows where divine agreement exists.
Alignment with God comes before alignment with people: Our primary question should be - am I walking in agreement with God? In any partnership seek the will of God first. God will not adjust His purpose to align with our preferences but it should be the other way round. Divine alignment comes before human partnership.
Deuteronomy 13: 4 - You shall walk after the Lord your god and fear Him and keep His commandments and obey His voice, and you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.
John 12: 26 -
Psalm 86: 11 - Teach me Your way, Oh Lord, that I may walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name.
Destiny comes to be established when our desires, decisions and direction come under God's will. If you live under God’s will you have nothing to fear on this earth. If God is for us, who can be against us? To know His will we should know the Word and the Holy Spirit working in us should be audible to our ears. God does not change His frequency but our hearts need to be in tune and alignment with Him. When the Spirit of Truth comes He will lead you into all truths.
Some relationships are for a season: Abraham and Lot together left the land of Ur and were together for many years but eventually their paths had to separate. Lot was blessed due to his association with Abraham. Association brings blessings and anointing.
Genesis 13: 8 and 9 - Then Abram said to Lot, “Let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen, for we are kinsmen. Is not the whole land before you? Separate yourself from me. If you take the left hand, then I will go to the right, or if you take the right hand, then I will go to the left.”
After they separated, Abraham was given new assignments and lands.
Proverbs 13: 20 - Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
2 Timothy 2: 22 - So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
Not every separation is rejection. Sometimes assignments change and associations change accordingly.
Right alignment multiplies Kingdom effectiveness: It was the will of the Holy Spirit to set apart Paul and Barnabbas for His purpose. God joined these two people for a specific assignment. Barnabbas was the person who mentored Saul. Their partnership grew into a missionary movement that carried the Gospel into new regions. Paul commends the church in Philippi of their constant support in the spreading of the Gospel.
Philippians 1: 5 - …..because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now.
1 Corinthians 3: 9 - For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.
Nehemiah 3: 2 - And next to him the men of Jericho built. And next to them Zaccur the son of Imri built.
Here, we see that families came together for a specific purpose and worked in unity. The right people not only admire your work but lend a helping hand in completing the work of the Gospel.
Alignment should be established and maintained: You could begin in good alignment and slowly drift away after a while. Alignment requires regular examination of your goals.
Philippians 2: 2 - Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.
1 Corinthians 1: 10 - I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgement.
Hebrews 12: 13 - ……. and make straight paths for your feet, so tht what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.
We need to regularly examine ourselves - am I aligned with the assignment entrusted to me? Are my priorities aligned with His will? Set yourself right quickly.
