The Two Human Races

Apostle Paul writes about sin and God’s judgement and the solution in the first eight chapters of Romans. In Romans 5, we have hope and that as sin increased, grace also increased and there is a simple way out by receiving salvation.
When Adam and Eve sinned, God’ plans for man fell and mankind started living a sub-standard life. The history of mankind is a history of wars. People cruelly kill each other in hate. No one was able to wipe away the stain of sin from human kind. It is in this context that Jesus who was the Son of God, came to earth in human form. This is depicted in the following passage.
1 Corinthians 15. 45-49
45 So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. 46 The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. 48 As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.
In Genesis 1.27, God created Adam as a spirit. And in Genesis 2.27, He formed Adam out of dust and breathed into him and he became a living being. Paul introduces another Adam who is the last Adam
(Jesus). Unlike the first Adam to whom God breathed life, the last Adam is a life giver.
Apostle John introduces Jesus in the gospel of John chapter 1 as follows: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Jesus is not introduced as a newborn baby but as a life giving spirit ; the source of life.
In John 14.6, Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life.”
In John 10.10, He said I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
In John 6.63, He says It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life
1 Corinthian 15. 46 The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven.
Many saw Jesus as a Jewish rabbi but He was from Heaven and not earth.
48 As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.
We got our physical body from the first man Adam and we will get our spiritual body from Jesus who is from heaven.
According to these verses, there are two kinds or two breeds of the human race.
The various titles of the first man given in the Bible are: the first Adam, the dust man , the natural man.
Jesus is known as the second man (spiritual man), the last Adam ( life giving spirit), heavenly man.
Both titles apply to us.
Jesus is called the second man and not the last man. He is also called the last Adam and not the second Adam.
