Jesus The Freedom Giver

John 8:2-12
2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”11 “No one, sir,” she said.
“Then neither do I condemn you,”Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

Here is an incident that happens while  Jesus was teaching in the temple. According to the Law,  punishment for adultery was to be stoned to death.

The then spiritual leaders there remind  Jesus that the law of Moses commands them to stone the woman to death but Jesus instead shame them to leave her alone by reminding them  they  were all sinners.

So everyone threw down their stones.  Once everyone had left  other than the lady, Jesus forgives her and asks her not to sin anymore.

That day she was freed from her sin, the wrath of people, & death! That day she had an encounter with the Saviour.
Jesus is the deliverer of the tormented.

Romans 6:13
13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.

The wage of sin is death but the lady was saved from death through Jesus.

Romans 3:23
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Is there any Prime minister, President or an IAS officer or a teacher or people of any category who has not sinned?
We all have sinned!
And we are completely saved only when we are free from our sins and we receive that only when we have Jesus in our lives.
Freedom from sin is the greatest form of freedom.

Repeat this prayer:
Please forgive me of all my sins.
Please grant me freedom from all sins.
Jesus, you are my saviour
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
