The Word Therapy

The Word Therapy 

We have  heard of many different types of healing therapies for specific  diseases or disorders like chemotherapy,  physiotherapy etc. Today we will look into a type of therapy called Word Therapy. This therapy is done through the Word  of God.

Exodus 15 :26
He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”

God emphasises that if you have walked in obedience with God's commands and lived in accordance with him then no diseases will come upon you or if you still become sick God is our  healer. God is our doctor. He is   doctor Jehovah  or doctor Jesus. 

Psalms 107:17-22
Some became fools  through their rebellious ways
    and suffered affliction because of their iniquities.
18 They loathed all food
    and drew near the gates of death.
19 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
    and he saved them from their distress.
20 He sent out his word and healed them;
    He rescued them from the grave.
21 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
    and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
22 Let them sacrifice thank offerings
    and tell of his works with songs of joy.

When many faced distress and destruction this hymn was written to show how God restored them and saved them from their graves. Most grew closer to the gates of death  in utter misery. Then they all cried  out to the Lord in their trouble  and he saved them. Always  cry out to our God. Cry out to God in secret where you communicate to your God and our Lord will surely save you from your distress and heal you completely by sending his Word to you. This healing is called Word Therapy. 

A lady in the last stage of cancer approached  a church  pastor. He told her a particular  verse from the Bible, " by his stripes you are healed" and  asked her to write this verse many times in a notebook and she did just so believing  like an innocent child.  During the next meeting in a few days this lady testified  she has been healed . This can be understood as an example  of word therapy in which cancer was delivered and healed by just the Word of God. 

There are instances when we say aloud the Word of God and suddenly healing happens. There are many testimonies of this kind of Word therapy healing.  This is  because the Word of God has God's power and when God's word is spoken it reaches into all of our inner parts and organs and healing happens by eradicating the disease completely. That's the power of God's Word.  If we truly  believe  and accept  his Word we will see miracles. 

Psalms 103:3-5
who forgives all your sins
    and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
    and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
    so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Our God  is the one who hears our  cries and forgives  our sins.  He can heal all diseases by his Word. He is our Doctor in all areas of medicine.  Allowing the power of his Word to heal  is Word Therapy.
