Rise Up
God has big big plans for our lives but he intends to achieve it with our cooperation. So it is very important for us to rise up and resist the devil while we submit ourselves to God. He will surely strengthen us to do this .
John 5 :8-9
Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.”At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.
The day on which this took place was a Sabbath.
A paralyzed man lying near the pool of Bethesda waiting to be healed. Jesus approached him and healed him. Then Jesus said 'Get up', ' pick up your mat' and ' walk'. These three instructions seemed quite impossible for the paralyzed man and yet he did all that! Similarly Jesus is speaking about your present life situations be it poverty, darkness, sickness, depression or any bondages. Just get up and walk out of it. It's our decision. Jesus will never make you get up but he expects us to do it by ourselves while he strengthens us.
There is always something God does and something we must do. We are all saved by his grace so grace is God's part and faith is our part. In order to see improvement and promotion from our present situation or circumstance we must rise up. Never say God is in control and he will do everything for us.
Whenever Jesus healed he always told them to do some small act while he was healing like to the blind he told to wash his eyes and to the leper to stretch out his hands. This signifies that Jesus expects us to do our part.
Acts 3 : 6-8
Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,walk.” 7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. 8 He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping,and praising God.
The Name of Jesus has mighty power and if we want to change and see miracles, believe and accept it. Rise up, submit to the Lord Jesus and resist evil.
