Be on Fighting Mode

We’ve been learning the authority every child of God has and rather than just being aware of the authority, it’s my prayer and desire that each one of you would exercise this God-given authority in your day-to-day life.

The other day, I was thinking that the mobile phones we all use have different modes. Usually when I minister, I keep my phone on silent mode. Also, you can switch your phone to flight mode/ vibration mode/ active mode depending on what suits best for the situation/ place that you’re in. In the same way, a child of God can live in different modes - some live in the silent mode and do not react/respond to anything. But a child of God is supposed to live in the active mode, functioning according to what God has positioned us and to overcome the challenges in life; for we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.
 
Many people consider themselves a total failure. But the reality is every child born into this world is a winner, because every child is the outgrowth of one of a million sperm from a man that fuses with the egg in a woman's ovary thereby forming an embryo which gradually develops into a child and is delivered into this world. Your birth itself proves that you’re a winner!

However, in the course of life, the devil brings thoughts in you that make you consider yourself as a failure - in terms of complexion, physique, stature, intellect, etc. But the Holy Spirit and God’s Word says that you are a winner in Christ.
 
You may have failed/ not been able to perform well in different situations of life; but that doesn’t make you a failure in life. God’s appraisal is much higher than human appraisal, and you’re already a victor before God.

As I said earlier, you were born into this world as a winner and you need to live as a victor in every stage of life. Always be in the active mode/ fighting mode, by which you stand against every thought and every circumstance that impedes you from reaching the full potential and fulfilling the God-given purpose in your life. Resist the devil rather than compromising with the devil. You have to be an active soldier, fighting against the enemy. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Regardless of your lineage/ the family atmosphere that you've grown up in, you can rise up in the fighting mode/ attitude , make a change and progress in life. 

The following verses will help you be an overcomer:

1 Corinthians 9:26 - Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air.

Life is a marathon and we need to run, staying on track and focusing on the finishing line. You have to fight in order to defeat the enemy. If you fight like a shadow boxer beating the air, you'd just drain your energy without attacking the enemy.

2 Corinthians 10:4,5 - The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Our mind is the battlefield and we need to take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ - thoughts of wrong beliefs/ fear/ depression/ double mindedness. This will be made possible for every believer through prayer, studying the Word and above all, with the help of the Holy Spirit. An active soldier will be able to take captive every ungodly thought and is living in the fighting mode! Keep fighting from the victory Christ has already won for you, till you experience it in every area of life!
