God Needs You
God’s people perish due to lack of knowledge which is the true revelation of God, Jesus the Savior, and our identity in Christ.
1 John 4:4 - You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
In this world we are like Jesus and function on His behalf, with the Spirit of Christ residing in each one of us. The Holy Trinity - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit is living in us; and if we believe the same we’ll boost our inner being with the Word and the Spirit and progress in life. Never become a slave to any situation in life - in your career, in your relationships, in your finances. You should never think of killing ourselves when there is a problem, instead rise up knowing Christ lives in you.
The One who is in you is greater and the righteous are called to live by faith; not by what is deposited in your bank account. Your life is hidden in Christ and Christ is hidden in you.
Colossians 1:27 - the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
If we aren’t active in our spirit, it’s going to be just as if God is not in you even though He actually has made you His home.
God is an omnipresent God; but to experience His presence we need to have fellowship with God’s people and be active in our prayer life and with the Holy Spirit. God is always there, but we can sense Him only when we see the move of God. For instance, the air fills the whole earth, but we can only feel its breeze when we switch on the fan in our room.
Jacob had a dream on his way to Paddan Aram in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And the Lord spoke to him in the dream. When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.”
The One who is in you is greater than the one who is in this world and you need to be aware of it. You are from God and God lives in you! God's presence will remain dormant unless you acknowledge His presence and have fellowship with HIm.
John 15:5 - "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
What did Jesus mean here? You need Christ to do spiritual works that will survive the fire and last into eternity. (1Corinthians 3:11-15) But human beings can discover/invent, build monuments, develop new technologies and achieve much more in this world based on their brilliance and IQ level, even without relying on God because God has already given the potential for the same. Eg: Babel tower. But all of this will collapse like the Babel tower, Titanic etc. Always remember that everything mankind does which does not involve the God factor will one day be obliterated. Ergo, it's significant that Christ be the foundation of everything in your life! Apart from Him, you can do nothing.
Matthew 28:18 - Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Jesus delegated His authority over to the church. The Word of God gives us a beautiful analogy of Christ being the Head and the Church being the body. The Head (Christ) gave His authority to His body, the Church; in other words you are the one to use the authority here on Earth!
Without the head, the body cannot do anything; and without the body the head cannot do anything. The head needs the body to function as per the brain signals, and the body needs the head to receive command from the brain and act accordingly. This calls for coordination between Christ the head and His people which is His body!
Though God is an all-possible God, He wants our involvement in everything that He does on this Earth. God desires to fulfill things through us, His children/ His chosen, whom He has placed on this Earth for various administrations/ operations. You have a God-given purpose in life!
In Acts 10, we read about a centurion named Cornelius who was a devout. He and all his household were devout and God-fearing. He gave generously to the people and prayed to God regularly. One day, he had a clear vision of an angel of God who came to him and said, “Cornelius, your prayers and gifts to the poor have ascended as a memorial offering before God. Now send men to Joppa to call for a man named Simon who is called Peter. He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.”
The holy angel had instructed him to request Peter’s presence in his home so he could hear a message from Peter.”
The angels are assigned to serve God's children; and God has assigned us, His children and not the angels, to preach the gospel, heal the sick and to minister in the Name of our Lord Jesus. It's our duty to spread the gospel, and we’ll be held responsible for the lives of those who perish.
Ezekiel 33:8 - When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.
Share your testimony and what you learn from the Word and these sermons with others. That's a great way to start.
The Church is the physical Christ today. Jesus came in human form and died for our sins, he was raised from the dead and later ascended into heaven. And today, the Church is the physical Christ - whom others can see, touch and hear .
1 Corinthians 12:27 - Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
1 Corinthians 12:14-18 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many. Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
The body would be in a paralysed state if each part doesn’t function as per assigned and to its full potential.
Isaiah 60:1- 3 - Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
You are the light of the world. No one lights a lamp and puts it in a cellar or under a basket or under the bed. Instead, he sets it on a stand, so those who enter can see the light.
Matthew 18:18 - Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Heaven cannot do anything without us functioning on Earth. God’s placed us on Earth and we are the managers here. We need to stay connected with Heaven and administer on Earth, in order to save the perishing souls.
