Believe & Receive

If we compare the language tenses used in the writing of the books of the Old and New Testament we can conclude that the Old Testament uses mostly  the future tense and New Testament uses mostly the  past tense. This is because the majority of the prophets were writing of a future happening about the good times  that will come. They used phrases like ' Messiah will come', 'Salvation is going to come',' Healing is going to come', 'Outpouring of the Holy Spirit will happen'. God himself will come into this world as Emmanuel and stay with us, performing his duties, defeating the devil and restoring his kingdom before his return.

In the New Testament however, it  says 'the Messiah came and came with grace', Healing came, ' outpouring of the Holy Spirit came , blessings came and finally on the cross of Calvary Jesus said ' It is finished'.

We are a blessed generation living in the time of the New Testament where everything is freely available as everything  has been done and completed by the Lord Jesus.

Titus 2:11
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.

The grace of God has appeared and the action is complete.Any person can receive salvation and be saved no matter what your background may be.

John 3:16
For God so loved  the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Our Father in heaven has prepared everything for us and for all generations of this world in abundance . We are all just called to receive it and enjoy

Christianity is not what God will do for us but Christianity is all about what Jesus has already done for us. It is about what God has done for each of us even before this world and our birth. The saddening fact is that many are still waiting for the messiah to come especially among the Jews.

Jesus came to this world and prepared everything ready for us to enjoy. When he said it is finished on the cross of Calvary he meant no job is undone but all has been completed. The advice, healings, Salvation all is made ready. God moves upon what Jesus had finished.

Romans 10:9
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

What do we have to do ? We just have to believe in our hearts and declare with our mouth that God raised Jesus Christ  from the dead, and you will be saved.

Many people do many activities and sacrifices to attain salvation which is all of no use as Jesus has done it all for once and all on the cross of calvary. All we have to do is believe in our heart that he died, was buried, rose again and declare it ourselves. If you still do not accept this there will be harsh consequences.

Psalms 23:5
You prepare a table before me  in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil  my cup overflows

We all have to just believe and receive, believe and activate and enjoy all that Jesus has done for us.
