There Is A Well Inside Of You
We already saw the free gifts that we get from the heavenly Father. Good and perfect gifts come from the father and we must focus on the perfect gifts which are better than the good. Jesus is the best and the most perfect gift that the Father has given us for our salvation etc.
We learnt how even bad people can go to heaven only because God gives us good gifts.
God has a love that is the same for each and everyone and it is how we accept it into our lives that truly matters.
God gives us overwhelming blessings. Everyday is a celebration day for us since we are all equally heirs to the kingdom of God. We also went into detail about the best gift of all times - salvation - and all that comes within the salvation package.
Acts 8:20 Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!
Peter said this to Simon the Sorcerer who wanted to buy the power gift of healing from Peter. Those who think that the gifts of God can be purchased with money are in the wrong. We read how Peter strongly emphasises on the point that those who put a price tag on God’s gifts will perish.
Jesus said in Matthew 10.7-10 As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give. “Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts — no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep.
We will discuss one of the most important gifts which God gives:
John 4:10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
The context here is how the Samaritan woman in this story is shocked that a Jew was asking her, a Samaritan for water. Jesus’ question to her “If you knew the gift of God and who is it that asks you” is very relevant to us too. We should focus on the point that Jesus made in this scriptural passage about the knowledge of the free gifts and recognising the man of God. Jesus specifies on the gift of living water which denotes that there is dead water also.
John 4.13,14 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
Nobody has ever spoken Words like how Jesus spoke (verses 13 & 14). Jesus said that the water from the well would make a person thirsty again as it is dead water but if the Samaritan could recognize the gift, she could receive the spring of living water which would well up from within her. Jesus was talking about the gift of the Holy Spirit.
If we are able to recognise and understand the Holy Spirit in our lives, then Jesus will pour into us the living water. One of the gifts that comes with the salvation package is the Holy Spirit.
