Unbelievable Good News!
We rest because of His amazing grace by which we are no longer condemned, all our sins are forgiven, and Heaven became our eternal home.
Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ (John 1:17) which was partly revealed in the Old Testament days, but we who are a part of the New Testament era can live in the fulness of this grace and truth.
Galatians 1:6-9 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!
Many are often misled by different teachings. The true gospel conveys that Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God taking our sins, curses and sickness became an ultimate sacrifice once and for all. And we receive this salvation as a free gift as and when we simply believe and confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. It is too good to be true to believe!! We need not do anything but believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ and we become His righteousness.
Remember ATM - Any Time Mercy that’s stated in Hebrews 4:16 - Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Just as we don't have to depend on/ wait for the cashier/officer in order to make money transactions using ATM cards; we are privileged to approach God anytime using the divine ‘Any Time Mercy’ card and in the Name of Jesus. We approach God in the care of His beloved Son in whom He is well-pleased. Do make time to hear and imbibe the message titled ‘In Christ Life and Christ in Life’ that I’d preached a few Sundays ago.
Acts 20:24 - However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
We are in a race and our aim must be to finish the race and complete the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. It is by grace that we have been saved. It is nothing but a misconception that good people go to heaven and the bad go to hell. The citizens of heaven are those who humbly believe and receive the gracious gift of salvation. Also, those who reject this free gift of salvation, irrespective of whether they are good or bad are alas heading to hell. So the dividing line is whether or not you believe in the Savior that God sent for the redemption of mankind. It is upto us to believe in a person and not on morality to go to heaven.
In the amplified version of Acts 20.24 we read “But I do not consider my life as something of value or dear to me, so that I may [with joy] finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify faithfully of the good news of God’s [precious, undeserved] grace [which makes us free of the guilt of sin and grants us eternal life]”
In this world, the biggest burden is the burden of sin with its regret, remorse, guilty consciousness etc and Jesus bore the sin of the entire mankind on Him as He walked to the Calvary. And the truth is that there's no sin that God cannot forgive except one, which is the sin against the Holy Spirit. This is the good news of God’s grace.
Matthew 12:31 And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
Acts 14:3 So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.
What a privilege to live as His redeemed while on Earth and through eternity! Cling to this gracious Savior in every season of life to whom we've been engaged. And we shall soon see our Bridegroom in His glory. God bless you!
