The Flood of Sin and The Flood of Grace

Romans 5:20-21’20 The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, 21 so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.’
 
The intention behind the establishment of law was to put a stop to the sins that were increasing. So if anyone was found sinning, he would be violating the law.
 
But where sin increased, the Lord’s grace increased all the more. Sin came through death but grace reigned all the more through righteousness.
 
Sin reigns in the world but the Good News is that grace reigns in these places more.
 
Another translation says that ‘where sin increased, grace abounded all the more’. Hallelujah!
Grace overtakes man’s sin.
 
Every year we see man falling into new sins, man making new sins but remember, there is new grace. Grace that is much deeper and wider. Grace is like a flowing river that cannot be stopped.
 
The great flood of sin is overcome  by the great flood of grace.
What does this mean? Even the worst sinner can be saved if he accepts the river of grace, if he decides to turn from his sins and repent and receive the life giving flood of grace.
Our God is full of love, compassion and grace. No matter what your situation is, all you have to do is jump into the river of grace. All your past sins and problems will be washed away.
