Do you want a blessing or a miracle ?

Which is greater : A Blessing or A Miracle?
We need to have a godly perspective as we decide on the right answer.
 Is it better to receive supernatural healing from God or to always remain healthy without any sickness?

Is it better to receive a divine financial breakthrough or to have a life of financial freedom?

The answer would definitely be that we are able to live a life of health and financial freedom, free from sickness and poverty.
 
A miracle is when we overcome our problems supernaturally while the state of living healthy/ financially free etc is a blessing. We can conclude that blessing is always greater than a miracle. 
 
Joshua 5.10-12
10 On the evening of the fourteenth day of the month, while camped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho, the Israelites celebrated the Passover. 11 The day after the Passover, that very day, they ate some of the produce of the land: unleavened bread and roasted grain. 12 The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate the produce of Canaan.
 
The Israelites had left the place of bondage, Egypt after celebrating Passover. Now forty years later, they celebrated Passover as they entered the promised land, Canaan. They reached the land flowing with milk and honey and ate its produce. The manna which was the miracle food that they ate for forty years stopped. God had fed thirty lakh and more people continually and consistently divine food from heaven on a daily basis. 
 
Why did the Manna stop? Was it because of their lack of faith ?
The day they entered the “Promised Land”, their miracles stopped. When the blessing came, the miracle stopped. Blessings are always greater than miracles.

The Israelites experienced daily miracles in their forty years of journey through the wilderness. Their clothes, footwear, food, water etc were taken care of miraculously. They received uncountable million miracles till they reached Canaan.

 We must also know that in heaven, there are no miracles. Miracles happen in the fallen earth. There was no need for a miracle before Adam (man) fell to sin.
 
What are the specialities of a Blessing ?

• A blessing always comes from a greater person to a lesser person. 
• Blessing is not a condition or situation; it is an invisible spiritual power.
• When God’s blessings come upon you, it makes you an instrument of favour.  
• Blessings hover over a person like a cloud.
• We can wear blessings like a coat. For example; Joseph was given a Blessing jacket or a multicoloured coat by his father as a favour; the prodigal son was given a coat by his father on his return. Similarly, we can wear it like an invisible ‘blessing jacket’. 
• Blessings is a spiritual power that prevents misfortunes, mishaps, problems, crises etc.
• In the life of a blessed man, every evil will turn to good. 
• Blessing is a trouble converter. 
• We can transfer blessings from one person to the other. In Genesis 1.26, God blessed man. We read in Numbers 23.20 I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it. Blessings are irreversible.
• Miracles on the other hand happen when there are problems. God by pssses his laws of nature to perform miracles. Miracles are temporary solutions to man’s problems. Blessings are God’s permanent solution to man. Since blessings are higher than miracles, we should graduate from miracles to blessings. Miracles attract people to God, but His ultimate aim is to bless us.
