Abigail, Nabal and David

In the previous days we were discussing how to grow after being saved.
Many people even after being saved they’re spiritual life is diminishing.
Romans 6:1-11
Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ
6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
It says that as long as we remain within the law we will be safe.
Marriage is a covenant, it is on the higher level. The Bible says that once you are with a partner you must not marry again, remarriage can be done only when the partner passes away if not it is a sin.
David had become very famous once he killed Goliath, he was preparing to become the future king during that time he had many enemies.
Once David met a man named Nabal, the name Nabal means foolish. Nabal was a filthy rich man with lots of land
David had helped in protecting Nabals assets, when Nabal was having a feast David wanted to be incidental and informed Nabal, but Nabla was quick to get angry and refused to do so. When David heard about Nabals reaction he immediately prepared a troupe to attack Nabal.
One of Nabal’s servants informed the happenings of the kingdom to his wife Abigail. Abigail was beautiful and had a Noble character.
Abigail was married to someone unfit to her, she went to David with lots of gifts and tried to control David's anger.
In a period of Ten days Nabal was dead and she became a widow. David expressed his wish to marry her once he got to know about his death.
Because Nabal died she could get married to David and David and as a man after God's own heart.
In the same way Jesus was a Noble character, there is no one close to him. That is the kind of partner God has given us.
We are the brides of Jesus.
